No way. Tinubu and Buhari gathered in Ojota Lagos claiming subsidy was a scam and they made it impossible for it to be removed then. It's pay back time. I think we need to resist them the way they resisted Jonathan. They refused to listen to the voice of reason. Infact, the way APC mobilized the entire nation, I expect Labour party and PDP to do the same. No one has monopoly of using protests to achieve their plans. I saw a banner few days ago saying reduce corruption first before removing subsidy. Removing subsidy while corruption still thrives is effort in futility. With the appointment of old horses like Gbaja and Akume, the chopping continues. Freeing up funds by removing subsidy makes the looting table very rich. If they were not the same guys who protested during GEJ's tenure, I wouldn't speak against them. What you sow is what you reap. QED.

For some that are saying the removal of subsidy is for the benefit of the poor. How? Id truly there’s anything call subsidy that make us buy PMS 185(which of course inflated to that price), then i think that may be the only good thing the government is doing for us

Do you know the trillions in tax waivers that are given to the likes of Dangote and other rich businessmen and importers.

E reach the poor masses they press the neck because they know we will adjust. Everything is subsidized for those in govt houses. Fuel, food, cars, wardrobe allowances etc, they are paid even for traveling.

The strike is rather to early, why not engage the government to know what her programmes are like for now? No sane leader would remove subsidy without having plans for succour for the citizens.

you know nothing then. Imagine buy 20L gallon of fuel for 12k+ while salaries remain the same, whereas before Tinubu it was 5k or thereabout.

Don't be tire, I love this NLC move, this was the same way the same ppl go against Jonathan Subsidy removal in 2013. They should have allow the subsidy to go then and by now we won't be talking anything about Subsidy. Some of them were even claiming that there was no Subsidy.

The truth of the matter is that as time goes on some of their members would break away and resume. There is nothing Tinubu can do. Nigeria does not have money to pay subsidy on PMS again. Locally, 1 litre of Kerosene is 1K as they sell Pepsi bottle (50CL) =N=500 in the local markets. Some big buses and most Volkswagen LT buses use Diesel (AGO). Subsidy have been removed on AGO & JetKero, those buses are being used for transportation. Aviation and cooking stoves users are surviving.

The leadership of the Labour Union understood the case of Nigeria where as at May 29 the Military and civil servants have not been paid. The leadership of the Labour Union can never support FG to be borrowing to pay salaries and pay for subsidies but how will they explain to majority of their members?

Nigeria is about to move forward finally. Nigeria can never pay subsidy on PMS again. It is gone forever. AGO and JetKero have no subsidy , it must be removed on PMS as well. There is no money to even pay it.

Labour is not saying don't remove subsidy. Labour is saying you cannot just announce the removal in your first speech and cause panic and hardship throughout the country. There should be a plan and deliberate policy on ground to help reduce the effect.

it's nlc that runs the government, without nlc tinubu can't sign bills and can't work. He needs nlc to work.
