It seems petrol is only limited to private vehicle, you hardly come across commercial cars using petrol.

I guess this is one area the FG and States have to do better ensuring all public transport convert to either diesel or gas.

BRTs in Lagos run on diesel but the danfo buses, taxis, and small shuttle buses run on petrol.

I'm curious to see how this can be achieved. But if he can do it that will be good. He needs to cushion the effects of the subsidy removal. I support fuel subsidy removal but not entirely eliminating it like we have done. Transport costs would go up and spark more inflation. But what's done is done sha.

What I know and I've said here in the past is that these countries we're copying all have subsidies in different form.
Iran subsidizes cooking oil and other sundry items. Even the almighty America have fuel subsidy in certain forms. Or how do you explain buying petrol in Georgia at 0.90$ while you are paying over $1 in Ghana and Kenya and now Nigeria?
