As at when I traveled in March 19. I met two people at the airport who were not allowed to fly to South Africa via TAAG airlines and I don’t know if things have changed now

I've a friend who finished his PHD in S.A, he's back to Nigeria and his visa has expired, he want to know if he can reapply and then submit a fresh application for his wife and kid along with his own..

Or will he do it separately?

Based on this info, I think he needs to apply for a separate, unconnected visa application. Gone are the days when you can apply for PR straight from SA schools.
If he has the required experience in one of the critical skills field, he can explore that route and then apply for PR once he gets the CSV unless he wants to take another post graduate course. All the best.

Visas are only renewable while still valid (before expiration). Once a visa expires, a re-application or new application needs to be lodged for the same/different category.
Thus, the subject and their dependents would need to apply for new visas together or separately, depending on the category(ies).

Hi, just saw this. I sent several emails. After 4 similar emails - 'look out for the eye-button ...', on of te Customer service agent wrote to confirm they have technical glitch and was being resolved. 2 hours letter i got a mail notification to check my profile. The downloadable eye-button surfaced, therein was the rejection letter on the basis of 'invalid statement' loollll. The same day, i noticed 3 other people with similar issue had their eye-button resurfaced and rejected.

Renew his visa based on what category? If I understand, his initial visa is expired now was study visa. Did he get another admission or post doctoral position to situate his reapplying? This could fly though. Otherwise he can’t reapply for himself and family but if his family has SA visas too( expired?) ,then it’s a plus for reconsideration on their application

Got it on the 4th attempt. The first two was through submission, 3rd was through evisa and this last was also submission at VFS office Lekki.

I applied to visit for a 2weeks training and surprisingly it took just a week to get my stamped passport. Previous submission took 1month to get a feedback.

Guys, just have the right documents, fill it properly, submit within the right time frame and it will ne good.
