I will take bolt serious when they are ready to reduce their commission to 15% ..

If they do, fine.
If they don't, we should gallop ahead.

I remember when I started this hussle, Bolt commission was 15% and I usually Net 10k daily. But fast forward to today, commission is 25% and I am netting 20k to 30k daily.
If it's by increasing commission that I will earn more, then they should continue increasing the commission o.
Indrive that is 10% isn't giving me more profits. I have said it before, their commission is not my business but what enters my pocket.

If I or Cheerfulgiver did this they will say it's a lie. It's not possible, We are agents blablabla.
I know the fuel increase will affect the profits hussle but how can we go around it and maintain status quo or even make more. That is what is on my head. As I am lying down like this, that's what I think of, as far as I know this is what I still want to do. If it doesn't pay me again, I find something else to do and not heap my woes on the app companies.
People will not like my views, but that's just how I am wired. I am sorry.
You see, you + cheerful + dem ogas here, una case na something else which I really don't know. That's how I met it here and that's how it still is. grin grin grin
From all of that, I still dey pick something to learn about.
We are learning from all of una. cool
To the newbie or middle-class drivers like me, I just hope we are learning, and we should ask questions on anything challenging so that we can learn more, cos I believe we will get responses.
Na my own experience I dey use run indrive cos I studied it myself and understood it.
Now I know how much 30L fuel will NET me, after expenses, and I will still be sitting on the same net as I used to with the same time and energy input, I think that's fine enough for me. I'm sticking to this and I think I'm okay like that.
Much respect, legend.

This is exactly why you’re having clashes with other pilots. The fuel consumed to cover that 47km is what most people would consider first in their negotiations. But you on the other hand don’t care about the kilometers, just time? The account cannot just balance.

Even if you drive against traffic, change your schedule etc. the average Nigerian used Corolla consumes 1ltr per 8km(fact). Your 47km trip will consume 2867 naira fuel. Deduct this from your 6000 naira fare you have 3133, when you remove indrive commission what you have left as profit is 2576 naira. It is from this 2576 naira you’ll maintain your car, feed yourself + family. If you’re on hp or remittance you also take from it.

The question now is - how do you perform your own miracle?
I'm a genius.

What was the value often naira to the dollar when it was 15% compared to the value of the naira when it was 25%?
This will help you know if you are actually earning more as you think.

A days work is a days work and half day is half day. Any day I work a days work, I make minimum 20k Net. I don't say this to impress anybody, it's something I should even b hidding, Like most people do their earnings.
I have done this for many years, now I don't drive everyday again because I have other businesses I am engaged in. But the day I drive full day like on Friday last week, there is no way I will not make 20k take home.

I would have said okay and ignore ur post, but because I went to church today, I want to use my church mind and give u a respectable response.

Thats story for another day.
Inflation and exchange rate affects everybody.
U can as well ask yourself how often people get salary increase or whether each time forex goes up they get a commisurate increase in pay.

The point I was trying to make is clearly stated in that post.

Great please what vehicle do you drive? Please update us on how your day went later.

This is what we should be doing now. Finding ways to stay afloat. I'm sure no driver here was forced to drive on ehailing, circumstances and choice is what made it happen.

We are supposed to be together, brainstorming on ways to make the most profit out of this hustle as a team.

Xghost is driving only on uber today. Let's see what he will net on their app with the current fuel pricing.

Now ,you are differentiating ," half day and full day.". but your former post said you make 20-30k net daily ,note the word " DAILY " and not the new terms " half day and full day" you are just introducing...

You posted that screenshot yourself. and you can see that there's no reality of 20-30k net daily there.

I'm always interested in putting things in proper perspective because a lot of people draw decisions from misleading posts like yours. Ignoring the post won't change my opinion which is stating the true picture of the situation.

Glithronix shared an estimate for Saturday which is possible if you put in the required work, but he can't tell me that he does 25k (20-30k) net DAILY (MON - SUNDAYS) . Some days ,yes, but not DAILY.

This is the point I'm driving, proper perspective.

Some times I feel people are paid promoters like WTF. Well me don go house sha

Don't just go home and park. You can think a little and restrategize then come out again and try. Transportation is a very basic service that cannot be substituted especially niche/luxury forms like ehailing is today.

See what a fellow driver on this thread posted concerning this fuel issue and how determined he is to overcome his problem :

I know the fuel increase will affect the profits hussle but how can we go around it and maintain status quo or even make more. That is what is on my head. As I am lying down like this, that's what I think of, as far as I know this is what I still want to do. This thing pearl posted is the reality of most ehailing drivers in Nigeria today. Let us help each other to solve this our problem together.

If you see something you don't understand you can ask for clarification and you should get answers from more knowledgeable people. If you doubt something you see ask for proof so you can focus on the information being disseminated with a clearer head. focus on finding solutions from like minded individuals

Nigeria isn't smiling, we need all the help we can get. If you see someone doing a business and trying to make ends meet but is complaining of how hard its become please don't discourage them. Refer them to a professional in their line of business to receive counsel.

This is mostly because the price without surge today is like the price with a 1.7 surge when you started.

I have to add that I now see you people's point. It took Gilthronx(not sure about the spelling) post for me to see it. Maybe because I read his post with a different eyes than I would have read yours. cheesy

The situation is not as good as before but it's not too bad either. Every driver just has to find a way to make 3-5k daily more than they used to do. How they do that is up to them to figure out.

Since the fuel hike, I just came out yesterday and all I can say is, despite the adjustment bolt did on the fare, it still doesn't make any sense at all....

Before, fuel of 1200 will take you from ikeja to ajah under bridge but now, you will be using fuel of 3500 and imagine bolt charging 8k without surge to ajah under bridge and they will take 2k from the money and you will be left with 6k then remove 3500 from it and you will be left with 2500. Imagine driving all the way from ikeja to under bridge ajah which will take you almost 2hours and all to show for that hours is just 2500....
