I'm putting it to you that before the hike, 2k fuel which was about 10litres will not take you to ajah from Maryland to & fro

2500 will but not 2k,
2500 was 13.5litres and I said corolla consumes 1litre/6km so meaning Maryland to ajah under bridge to and fro will give us 90km in total.
90km divided by 6km will give us 15 which means you will be needing at least 15litres of fuel to cover 90km distance. Not accurate but roughly 13.5litres of fuel will take you to and fro and this is without traffic...

This should proof my point, how much will 2k fuel gross you on bolt without surge, you will say 10k max and this is without surge, how much will bolt charge you from Maryland to ajah, that will be 7k minimum right, so going by your assertion, you said 2k will take you to ajah from Maryland to and fro, so are you saying 2k will gross you minimum of 14k without surge

Pls state your point with figures when you want to counter my claim
You need to go and check your car, i average 100 to 120km per litre on my Honda Civic though the car is manual, i always resest my trip meter anytime i buy fuel so i know what I am saying. I will advise you to read up on gazzuz thread on how to improve your fuel consumption. Going by your analysis, your car averages 60km for 10liters, which is very poor.

Since research is a difficult thing I have helped u to ask Google what is the average mileage of a Corolla in km/litre

https://www.google.com/search?q=corolla+km+per+litre&source=lmns&bih=664&biw=360&client=ms-android-transsion-tecno-rev1&hl=en-GB&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi5uoiyuKv_AhU8mScCHYtoCvoQ0pQJKAB6BAgAEAY

You have stated d answer to your question already, but if u can't even believe the fact on ground what else will I say that u will belief.
That trip will be more than 7k but even if we agree to use 7k as d estimate. That settles this argument.

According to u the trip is 90km and ur car uses 6liters/km
90km/6litres is 15litres
15litres X N184 is N2760
If u feel it's okay to use almost 3k fuel to just do Maryland to Ajah and back then u know nothing about a Corolla. Even a normal Camry sef will not consume that much fuel.
It means before u finish a full day's work driving within town, u would have used fuel of upto 7k? Oga, even if that is your reality, u should know something is wrong with your car.

Bros
8k fuel now is 16.1litres
There's no where you can gross 40k with 16.1litres

Cox that 40k gross

You must have driven for nothing less than 200km
And corolla consumes 1litre of fuel per 6km and dividing 200km by 6km will give you 33.3itres of fuel and 33.3itres of fuel now is 16k+ so you will need 16k+ fuel to get 40k gross now...

Before the hike that 33.3 litres was just 6k....

Even on bolt, with 8k fuel(488/l) which is about 16.3litres of fuel, can't gross you 40k except there's high surge like 1.9 and it will still be hard to gross the 40k, Maybe 30k is possible.

Let's break it down, from ikeja(maryland bus stop)to ajah underbridge is like 45km
And 45km divided by 6km gives 7.5litres of fuel and if you take trip from Maryland bus stop to ajah under bridge on 1.9 surge, the highest estimate will be 15k, let's now assume you take to and from on 1.9 surge which the km to be covered will be 90km, and you must have consumed total 15litres of fuel, both to and fro must have given you 30k gross and you have just roughly 1litre of fuel left in your car. And 1litre can only cover 6km distance, and 6km on 1.9 surge can't give you more than 2500naira...

I don't think there is any point arguing with him. I think he is trying to pull una legs while trying to encourage drivers to work hard and not work smart

How do you guys intend to make money with the current fuel price?
I read that some senior men are still cashing out regardless, how

So if you make 9k with 2k fuel then which is about 11ltrs, you'll still make same 9k with 5k fuel now (Same quantity of fuel but different price)

Or has there been a significant increase in fares?

No significant increment in the price, bolt is just trying to play on our intelligence, after all, they loose nothing as their 25% remain the same....

Base fare has to be 1200 while trip of 2k has to be 3500...

I'm reserving my fuel till I see significant change in the price, if not, I'm relying on my offline clients pending when I will see changes in the price

I'm already making another move, I can't waste 30l of fuel which cost about 15k and can't boost of making 15k from it...

That 30l which cost 5500 before will gross me 30kminimum without surge and after commission, I will have 17k net for myself to take home but if same 30l now which will cost me 15k is just giving me gross earnings of 35k without surge, after commission and expenses, I will have just 11k to take home, then it doesn't worth it...

Your income should be more than expense and not spending 15k fuel to get 11k at the end of the day couple with the stress you must have gone through for that day....

I have only bought 12k worth of fuel since the increment and I'm keeping my fuel till I get a worthy trip....

Bolt % remain fixed but our earnings go down so where is the sense in it...

Incidentally, I had to close, approaching Onikan after snapping that picture, I started hearing some funny noises from the leg, out of nowhere. I just drove

This morning I came out of the estate 5.30 to beat that Jakande traffic as I see say Northwest de sell, i sharply entered and filled up, 20k.

Decided to do some trips, noise or no noise, before the mechanic gets to the workshop. Na where we de be dat.

For Indriver buddies

I only drive on indrive and only on mainland only.

Never be in a rush because the next trip might be better than the one you are evening bidding for.

Always position in a central place and safe, so when trips come you can go in multiple direction avoiding dead driving.

It takes time so best is to stay and drive to location you are familiar with

Put you car stereo to Lagos Fm as it helps to know if there impedements on the road or where let's stay a broke trailer an accident etc. When going to a destination always look at the return journey.

Stay focus and comot your eyes from the fuel Guage and just drive.

Some trips are so good that you will be happy .

But some are just okay.

Some riders believe the estimate price is the price they can only pay because it is what the app is saying .

Its obvious this useless apps are observing our comments/analysis on different platforms. We woke up to an increase in airport fare here in Abuja. From N6100 to N7,200 now N9,600 for kubwa to airport.

Even the apps themselves know the prices are poor. Yet some drivers still think they’re making profits. 😆

Anyways they’re just few nairas to balance the 176% increment. They should continue increasing it.
