Increase Workers Minimum Wage To N200,000 – TUC Tells FG by Ofunaofu: 8:21pm On Jun 05, 2023 |
The grievances over the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government may have assumed a new dimension, as the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria has demanded an increase in the national minimum wage from N30,000 to N200,000. https://dailypost.ng/2023/06/05/subsidy-removal-crisis-increase-workers-minimum-wage-to-n200000-tuc-tells-fg/ 33 Likes 4 Shares

Maybe 200k is a little too high. For me, realistically, minimum wage should be non-negotiably 150k. 127 Likes 1 Share |

They are not serious Everybody will just be talking anyhow Most of these government workers does nothing other than gossip in the office. They are only busy when it's time to pay salary. They are nothing but liability to Nigeria. FG should digitize operations of all government parastatals and reduce the workforce by half. 139 Likes 14 Shares |

I think they should be pushing for 100k per month minimum wage. 200k per month is too much. Do they want the government to spend 90% of federal earnings paying salaries? 89 Likes 4 Shares |

I agree with TUC, the FG should do that for a start At the rate of N745 to a Dollar, N200k is just a paltry $268 for one whole month. Less than $10 a day! 49 Likes 3 Shares |

Yea a corresponding increase in minimum wage as well. If fuel price can be increased from 183 to 520. A similar increasement to balance the equation is a fair request 42 Likes 1 Share |

Aside the removal of Fuel subsidy, this government is planning to increase tax so price of basic necessities will increase. By the way, politicians eat millions yet the country is backward. Everyone should press for an increase in income both civil servants and others to be ready for the Tsunami coming. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

If a senator is earning 37million, I don't see any reason why poor Nigerians workers should be collecting less than 200k a month. 69 Likes 3 Shares |
