This dam not only supplies water to agricultural fields in the east but also serves as a hydro electric power plant that has a capacity to generate 400MW.

But that's not all.

By destroying the dam , the reservoir has now been depleted . This resrviour is critical as a major water source in cooling another nuclear power plant.

Late last year, Uko-Zionist terrorist in Kiev ordered artillery strikes on this same power plant in a bid to recreate a another Chernobyl episode and blame the radiation leak as a Russian tactical nuclear strike.

With no water in the resrviour , it's going to be very precocious in cooling the fuel rods in this nuclear plant.

A melt down scenario is sure to ensue.

The nuke plant is shut down but requires a small amount of "make up water" to refill the spray system cooling that cools the fuel rod chambers. When this is over there will be a restriction to operate reactors an some quantity because of the river. Seems to me it have to be a very large explosion to break the dam including a breach right adjacent to the Krakhovka hydroelectric plant (right side of the dam). I might think a HIMARS or artillery round or even a missile might have been lucky enough to take out a sluice door but the concrete structure between each sluice door is pretty stout and the road bridge is on the down stream side with the rail bridge on the upstream side of these concrete pillars. Whoever was controlling the dam seems to have used a lot of high explosives in one area to breach the dam.
