It should work. My current service address is about 8km from my actual address and totally outside of my Starlink hexagonal area, and it works fine. I had to use the service address because my hexagonal area has reached capacity.

Just make sure to use the nearest service address to your actual physical address, outside of your hexagonal area, and it will work.

I have done that already, just haven't been able to get someone to climb the roof. No roof access so it's a bit tricky. Should get someone by tomorrow tho.

Also, thanks for the info, I had hope that it would work, but just wasn't sure.

With regard to the Apollo Group TV subscription, I hope you're aware that in the USA, Mexico & Canada only, you can watch up to 5 streams on only two (2) different networks (IP addresses) at a time. For all other regions across the world, you can watch up to 5 streams (TV, Phone, Laptop, Computer etc) on only one (1) network at a time (simultaneously).

To beat this, you might have to invest in a reliable VPN that offers a Static IP address for y'all to be able to stream simultaneously.

At the moment, the crystal IPTV (ottcst) is down as a result of the police raid in the Netherlands that happened a few days ago. And I understand that some accounts opened before January still work (I have one), while those opened from sometime in January are the ones affected by the shutdown.

Personally, I don't invest longterm in any unofficial IPTV. Maximum I do is 3 or 6 months, but never a year cos of the possibility of a shutdown just like this recent one.
I paid for one month IPTV subscription today from the link posted here. It's working so far but it's not worth it in my opinion. Most of the interesting shows don't stream. It will just be writing playback error. I think I will stick to streaming movies and series from websites like net naija

Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by dustmalik(m): 1:39pm On Jun 06, 2023
I hope Starlink hasn't changed its mind. This one that we haven't gotten any update today grin

Moreover, the biggest losers to this development are the virtual dollar card issuers, like PayDay, Chipper and the rest. They can do anything to scuttle it.

Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by dustmalik(m): 8:28pm On Jun 06, 2023
I can confirm that Starlink is making changes right now to the card detail field on the site. Before now and even earlier today, the MM/YY field was joined together, but have now been separated. It's now like this MM and YYYY.

I believe it's only a matter of time before they send an official communication to us.

If this is it, then all our hopes have been dashed away.

The ethernet adapter costs $57, but now shows as N44,000, which means Starlink is using blackmarket rate at N771 to $1.

If you recall correctly, this same Ethernet adapter was N26,000 on the site before today.

You couldn’t have expected them to use CBN rate na. The only advantage here is you can now use your naira cards. It’s not gonna get cheaper

See am oo

Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by seunpayne(m): 10:21pm On Jun 06, 2023
I already expected this because making cheaper will be a slap on all those who bought early. Plus because the rate fluctuates they have to give space small. Me I go continue with my dollar card as I get better rates than this. I just hope they don’t force you to use naira

Have anyone order at the new price with a NGN card? I get this error message "Something went wrong on our end. Please wait and then try again.
