I'm a bonafide south south boy but let's face it- based on those figures, APC no too chop Nigeria's money.

What Jonathan's administration spent for subsidy for 4 years is almost double what Buhari spent for 7 years.

If you divide Buhari's figure, it is lower than what Yaradua spent in 2 years and what Obasanjo spent in a year.

APC may have its problems but you have to admit that their subsidy figure is the lowest in the history of Nigeria.

The data also shows that Buhari's major problem may not have been misappropriation of funds but he couldn't run the economy well. The percentage the naira fell during Buhari's era is scary.
Exactly. That's my observation.

Our Government have failed us!.
Why don't they Borrow money to build a Good Refinery.
I think building a New refinery will put a stop to all this.
We buy our Natural resources as if we don't own it. May God help us.

With this money Nigeria would have built over 10 refineries over the years, but some people in power refuse because they are making money. Law of kama is very Real

Jonathan should have removed the fuel subsidy.

If I were him, I would simply introduce excruciating petrol scarcities so regularly and blame it on incompetence and corruption that the people beg for the subsidy to go if it guarantees constant supply.

I remember the worst fuel scarcity ever in Jan 2016 that when government shot up the price of petrol to 167 if I'm correct and NLC called for protests, the masses ignored them

Sadly Buhari failed to grab the opportunity with both hands by ending the subsidy then and fully deregulation the price.

Waa it not Buhari's fault when he started dictating the exchange rate of the Naira to the CBN? He said he does not believe in devaluation. What an ignoramus.

Just look at the exchange rate mess he left behind. The official rate is 461 while the black market is 750. During Lamido's tenure, it hovered around a 3% differential. Official was 155 and I think the black market was 160.

The World Bank advised it should never be more than 5%. Presently, it is about 50%

Yeye, so you couldn’t understand lies when you see it. I will ask you a simple question. How come Buhari spent 7.79 trillion naira and it’s 23 billion dollars and Goodluck spent 6.68 trillion and it’s 42 billion dollars. Note dollar was 240 during Jonathan regime. Just know that Buhari expenditure was swapped with Goodluck own.

There is no money saved from subsidy. The money was borrowed. So removing subsidy means that loan won’t be taken anymore for that purpose.

Wasn't subsidy partially removed towards the end of Jonathan's regime? It's obvious the subsidy scam was going to an astronomical level during Jonathan that's why he attempted to remove it but we know the people that fought against it. If Jonathan was specifically involved in the scam, he wouldn't try to remove it

That's if this figure is real. What's the source?

Compare Lagos to any state
Why is delta still owing workers despite huge 13 percent derivation

Lagos template is so far good

This subsidy is reason Buhari keeps borrowing we don’t even have the money to pay for it they are deceiving us

No one is ready to borrow Nigeria money again

This are the truth

Was our revenue
Was our expenditure

Was the money used to service debt

We forget so easily in this country.

Obviously it seems you've forgotten that Buhari removed the fuel subside and the price of fuel jumbed from #97 to #145 per liter and later to #189 and yet he was still paying for subside.

So when you look at it critically APC na fraudsters full that party and Buhari na their kingpin

Of course, it's not our business to know the owners of these companies that have been benefitting from this fuel subsidy. Government know who this people are, but they refuse to curb their excess, this is why they've grown wings and now think they can hold the country to Ransome.
