When the first sentence is a lie What will the rest be? See how he bends over backward to absolve Buhari and blame Jonathan. Silly. Was it not Buhari, Tinubu and his gang that almost destabilised the country ontop of reverse the removal of Fuel subsidy. If you think you're smart, you're not. Do you think we don't know your type? You're just another of the multitude of APC arrselickers and urrrchinns on this site. You registered this moniker on Nairaland Just September last year and almost all your threads are attacking Obi. Tell us which monikers you were operating with before then? Abi you just turned 18 in September? Mtscheww! N3TRAL: |

Murketeer: That was not a personal insult. The attempt was foolish, and I stated it. What have you seen from me that made you suggest "I am very okay with Buhari's performance"? You pulled it from the assss? It was a foolish strawman attempt to divert from the fact that you could not reason before being taught why Jonadaaft needs to be continuously cursed for life. Or you don't know what "strawman" means? |

You are wrong, the price is fuel during GEJ tenure was cheaper, that means GEJ paid more moneys into subsidies to make fuel price more affordable. South South boy, you didn't reason from this angle obembet: 1 Like |

How can $42.2bn be 6.68tn ( in 2014 ) with the exchange rate of 205 then And $23.3bn be 7.95tn with exchange rate of 490 ? Even if we work with same exchange for both columns ( even if 😆) You gonna see the rubbish Stat this mofos dished out for you all to absorb! 2 Likes |

solmusdesigns:@bold They failed because there is no money or they failed because of corruption? Nigerians love hiding behind one finger. It would be an error for you to think Nigeria is failing because there is paucity of funds. Some of you just re-echo beautiful bedtime stories presented by politicians in public fora like you are the one saddled with the responsibility to implement it judging from the way some of you say it with so much gusto. Funds spent on power between 2003-2019, is it not enough to build the "2 Nuclear Power plants, 5 coal plants and generate enough power to sell across West Africa" just exactly like you captured in your statement? The 11,000 abandoned projects that you mentioned; is money the reason for their abandonment? What have you seen differently this time around that is suppose to allay the fears of those that view every government action with suspicion? Is there any way we can hold them accountable if they repeat the same process? Those are the indices we should be discussing and providing solutions, and not how you went to an amala joint and overheard market women saying what government will do with subsidy funds. What you heard the women saying, how is it different from the failed campaign promises we have been nourished with in the past? |

Corridon: How is the money saved when NNPC claimed they FG didn't even pay for it and FG is owing it. I'm highly disappointed in Tinubu already. Instead of doing his homework and cleaning the fraud in NNPC, It the people he's decided to face. With the rate of corruption in government, there is no palliative that can get to Nigerians from FG. Be it cash payments or basic supplies. Fuel subsidy is the only palliative the FG gives Nigerians for being citizens of a crude oil-producing nation. And they still feels it's out fault they and their friends are stealing the money |

N3TRAL: What do you have to say about Air Nigeria? For a man touted to be fight corruption and who accused Jonathan as being corrupt, he saw corruption in his own government and did nothing. What is the essence of 'saving' money if that money will only enter private pockets? If you want to analyze, be thorough. 1 Like |

N3TRAL: If you say buharis problem wasn't misappropriation, where are the monies he spent? between 2015 and 2020, over N1.48 trillion reportedly spent on maintaining the country’s four refineries. Can you show us the results of that expenditure? If you saying buharis only problem is his inability to run the economy well, it's either you are lying about buhari or Tinubu lied about him. Which one?

zuma4k: How is subsidy fraudulent? Is subsidy a human being that it is fraudulent? How will it have ended nigeria? Subsidy has been "removed" from diesel and kerosene long ago. Has nigeria turned to canada? Between 2015 and 2020, buhari spent N1.48 trillion on maintaining the country’s four refineries. Is anything to show for it? Is subsidy responsible for that? Between January and august 2022, nigeria lost $2b to oil theft. Am sure it's the fault of fuel subsidy. Fuel subsidy oscrhe cause of all Nigerias problems |
Re: Fuel Subsidy Expenditure From 2005 To 2022 by lexy2014: 1:53am On Jun 07, 2023 |
Gbogbowa: Subsidy the cause of all Nigerias problems. Subsidy is responsible for the refineries not working despite buhari spending N1.48 trillion on them between 2015 and 2020. Subsidy is responsible for oil theft that cost Nigeria $2b in the first 8months of 2022. Infact, it's because of subsidy that Gaddafi was killed. Let's arrest subsidy and take it to international criminal court. Once that is done, nigeria will turn to Dubai |

N3TRAL: Please stop this is I am from South South, we don't expect you to like everyone from the south South, GEJ saw how much the subsidy was costing the government and took the decision to remove it, this same people you all are supporting stood and said know, we almost had a regime change because of that, Tinubu came up with formula that you can't remove all of it at once, but gradually and the money saved should be shown to Nigerians what it was used for. Now same Tinubu has abandoned his on formula and suggestions to GEJ, but rather remove everything ones without any plans on how the masses would manage the great change. That's what I call hypocrisy, including you playing the tribe card here, we should clap for you because you are from South South and you don't support GEJ, is that the issues here now is everyone not suffering from it, please look at issues like a Nigerian, we don't care about your tribe or Location. 3 Likes |

Godsake: Presidents Obasanjo & Jonathan tried to tackle it but the NIGERIAN PEOPLE firmly rejected their policies. The Nigerian People are their own worst enemy. They have a socialist mentality and consistently vote for socialist Presidents and support socialist policies. Socialism kills economies. Look around the world. You can't have economic progress in a country where government sets prices, controls access to markets and private citizens can't own land and the resources therein. It can NEVER happen. Good Luck to Nigerians. |
