There was a time when I used to be overly impressed with dribbling, skill, show boating, swag on the ball, etc

However, not anymore because without END PRODUCT it amounts to wind and fresh air .

Unfortunately, clubs are looking for end product not the promise of end product and flattery.

Look 👀 at Allan Saint-Maximin, he looks absolutely unstoppable in his day but his end product is abysmal.

Ousmane dembele doesn’t have the best end product out there but I assure you that if he leaves Barca today almost all top club will do anything to have him

Maybe his assist numbers will cover up for him

Well where was Jude Billingham playing before every top level club was fighting for his signature.

Yes it's a good unit 😁 of measurement for quality.

Where did Tomori, Aina , Tega Abraham, Eze, Olise, Tosin Adarabioyo, etc ,etc prove themselves before making breakthrough.

Yes 👍🏿you said it the English Championship 😊😊
Jude billingham,Jude billingham,Jude billingham everytime,
All these guys u keep using all d time to counter arguments don't play 4 Nigeria.
It would be better if u talk more about Nigerian players than all those guys who may never have anything to do with us.

U have turn this thread between you and English players vs we and Nigerian players.

This thread is supposed to be all about Nigerian players.

Yes o!!!!!
Two free kick goals in one Match by Chris Ohenhen!!! Never understood why he didn't make the SE even with his personal successful career. Another player who had so much potential was Chris "Maradona" Nwosu, remembering his Maradonic goal against the old Czechoslovakia. Notable mentions, Dimeji Lawal, Osondu, Tony Emedofu, Sam Elijah, Tunde Charity, Sam Elijah, Bawa Abdulahi, oladuni Oyekale, Peter Ogaba, Jimoh Balogun, Emeka Amadi, Nduka Ugbade etc.

Wow. Such a memorable match. If I have a full replay of that match I will sit and watch.
In addition to your list of players, we also had Angus Ikechi (first choice goalie) , Mike Onyemachara and Mutiu Adepoju.
That team was a combo of the 1985 U17, 1987 U17 and the locally based U21 players.

I recall that Chris Nwosu's goal against Czechoslovakia. We were one goal down and at the verge of crashing out before Christopher Nwosu had a long series of dribbles from the midfield to the penalty box and scored.
Nigeria and Portugal emerged from that group and met again in the final.

From that team only Mutiu Adepoju and Nduka Ugbade (partially) progressed well into the Senior team. Dimeji Lawal played a couple of games and was dropped and Ohenhen had one or two call ups. The national team of the early 90s was so strong, making it really hard for those boys to break in.

I think he should do like Ighalo... Go to Saudi Arabiab and cash out ..he will definitely score goals there which would give him the opportunity to play for more money bags,.
Ighalo left Watford for China, cashed out, moved to Man Utd, back to China and later Saudi Arabia

Yes Angus Ikeji and of course headmaster Mutiu Adepoju can never be forgotten. He scored two headed goals against Kaiser Keller of the US in the semi-finals. Infact when Portugal beat us in the group stage, they had Rui Costa and Luis Figo two of our players had to be red carded before they could beat us 1 -0. The final was really a disappointment where we lost 2 -0 against Portugal.

I didn't start school when this match was plated but a football crazy neighbour made me love football then. The celebration was insane. Christopher Ohenhen was the only player I knew then and I adopted his name as my street football name.

I remember when a particularly oustanding talent in the name of Ibrahim Rabiu , career was primarily messed up by agent's.

A note of caution.

From what I gather Eletu has not played any first team football ⚽ of note. Let the player prove his quality in first team football and his worth before making grandiose claims.

Agent are mostly focused on 💷💵 do beware and wise.
