Nigerians are hailing a couple who owns Bovas fuel stations for selling petrol at 198 per litre instead of the five hundred naira price increased by oil marketers.

According to a Twitter user who posted the news, As of yesterday evening, they were selling at 198 per litre.

The reason they gave was that they were still selling old stock.

In the hit of scarcity, this company has never sold above the official price and they don't hoard fuel.

Recall that ever since President Tinubu announced the removal of subsidy there has been a hike in the price of petrol across the nation.

On reasons why the fuel subsidy was removed President stated that2023 the Budget made no provision for fuel subsidy and more so, subsidy payment is no longer justifiable.

He further explained that his government shall instead channel funds into infrastructure and other areas to strengthen the economy.
