I was working in Owerri as a non-indigene when Rocha's was governor. Someone beat me up and almost mobbed me because I do pass his compound regularly without greeting him. No one fought for my behalf. In fact the worst day of my life was when I was travelling to Owerri. The driver stopped on the road and made me almost strip naked because his memory card was missing and I was the one sitting close to him. I cannot remember a day more embarrassing in my life.
