Raf4: Let us define what is called indigene here. Because una dey dodge too many things if we go by what the constitution defines as indigene, then those from Ogun and other SW states would be affected by the law too. |

Blaze14k: A move to protect ones eye from an incoming object is a default move, protecting ones territory from Invaders/snatchers is Self defense not necessarily "scared" where there is no law there is no sin, IF Igbos dare what they tried the last time in 2027 it will end in serious war, in order to prevent that is why lagos house of assembly are trying to propose laws to protect indigenes, when these laws are in place Igbos will know the line not to cross. Yorubas are civilized people, we have chosen the path of law over war. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

muhammaduyusufu: Be very careful with how you spread lies and hatred. In Onitsha, Okigwe, Aba and other. South east cities and towns there are lots of Hausa people. You keep sending screenshot malicious and hiding off the real editorial just to score a point. See your IP address is easy to track and when you are arrested your eye would clear. Go and read history people that spread hatred never end well in life. |

true2god: Very funny hope. The quoted sweet me pass The importers of spare parts can as well import and relocate to their various states to sell to indigenes alone, ensuring they don't sell to non indigenes of their states especially the Yorubas from Lagos so as to pepper them back. How can you come to a state and want to claim the land saying it is no man's land. You could have decided to remain in your own land and develop it rather than develop another man's land . Ndi developers. Mtcheeeeeew. Can a Yoruba man become the governor in Anambra or Imo for instance? Why serve others what you wouldn't want to be served. Let's be reasonable abeg. This is not about tribalism, it is about according respect to people who owns the land and not coming to claim their land just because they have been liberal over the years. 2 Likes |

muhammaduyusufu: See guy you think you are smart. Read that Albertan law very well they said it protect the Albertans and did they define who an albertan is? No, but in this case you said indigenes of Lagos, so the law is clear if you are not an indigene, whether you are yoruba from Ogun or other SW states the law affects you. Even the Dakota law you are mischievously quoting was to protect the native Indian tribes there. Oga stop lying to people abeg. |

Yemimovich: Indigenous people. OK thank God you said it. So those from Ogun and other SW states are equally affected. Don't forge your credentials to claim Lagos because it would be exposed. |

Alaigbomaster: Nooooo don't be a hypocrite here. The constitution which we follow in Nigeria defines an indigene as one whose ancestral home falls within the confines of the state, irrespective of your tribe. So if you are Yoruba from Ogun or other South west states. The law affects you as well. Don't say we are Yorubas na lie, the term indigenes is the game changer here |

Awon alainikanse! What took them so long and why are they announcing it? Something they would have done and passed within 12 hours before people get to know what happened. We can't blame Chinedu, anything placed on the side curb belongs to passersby, Yoruba have given others an unfettered access to Lagos and the rest of Yorubaland, so strangers can start treating it as a communal property. In my travels in all the 6 continents except the Antarctica, I haven't seen where immigrants have strong opinions in the affairs of a town except in Yorubaland. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

IamAsiri: How do you mean "affect"? Like I said earlier, it's a law that's targeted at the interest of their natives. It's not a "we vs them" thing. Unless you want to make it become that of course. I really don't know why you guys are furious or rather, curious over their affairs. They're not making laws for kogi state people that lives in Lagos state. They said it's a law to protect the interest of the natives. If there's something else I'm missing out, pls be kind to point it out. Abi why una dey fear? You don't want them to protect their locals? |
