Please don't take the Civil Defence job cos at the right time God will answer you. Don't give up, keep pushing.
You will always feel frustrated if you take the Civil Defence job, imagine taking orders from your superiors with NCE,OND and HND when you have an engineering degree. It is not worth it bro

Take the civil defence job because one age isn’t on your end to secure a government job and the job you’re doing now you do not like it according to you, there’s what is called proper placement which you’ll be entitled to as u forge ahead in the job.

Brother accept it o I have someone with same issues but Nigeria police now he's unemployed since 2011 he graduated in 2009 HND but they gave him slot Nigeria police O level now he's regretting and he doesn't marry because he's unemployed up till now and age is not on his side again

while working for civil defence it doesn't stop you for applying for job opportunities ,if you are fortunate that you are posted to a juicy place you will make more money ,Infact with the whole new minimum rise and the 40% salary raise for civil defense that is still worked on ,you might be recieving close to 100k monthly ,and you will still have chance to do convertion with time ,oga take the work ,while you keep applying for other job ,if a better opportunity comes ,you can leave the job and go into the new one .

I know of a person during the last recruitment ,he was not contacted for documentation,a family member ,after the documentation process ,vacancy was created and he was sent a text to come over ,all other process was done, he is working in Ndlea today ....while alot of persons that there names was on the list with so much pride ,are at home today. See just pray for God grace ,this race is not over till you are in camp... I am not telling you ,hear say ,or I was told ,or a friend friend ,this is a family...

If you can get the job take it but remember you will have to be extremely PATIENT plan your life well there are a lot of junior officers doing well more than some senior officers, in terms of conversion paramilitary is a little bit lenient compared to military pray the work will favour you as that is not the end of the road you can meet your helper and get a better job offer in the near future. A bird at hand is worth two in the forest, but pray to God to guide you on your choice that is the most important thing.

Do not take that civil defense job, you will regret it if you take it. I got a friend who had ND and B.Sc but took the job with ND about 5 years ago. Until this moment he is still placed on that low level, no promotion. And remember you will not have time to do any other work, do not think that you can do any other job with civil defense work, no! You can't and you won't be able to because you will always close by 4pm or 6pm sometime. Continue with your teaching job while you're searching for a better job. Civil defense will tie you down.

And you might be thinking that you have it worse here presently at your current job, until you try another job elsewhere, that the conditions is even more worser, then you will realize that your former is even more better. Why do you even want to leave the teaching job? Some people are still praying to get that 40k per month teaching job. And it's because it's more convenient for you at your current job, that's why you have the period or time to apply for other vacancies out there. There are some more demanding jobs people do that doesn't give them time for themselves to seek or apply for other jobs vacancy elsewhere, cos they don't get the time to do so or attends interviews even if they were succeeded to apply online.
