Offpointng: Initially, I concluded the same but I believe a more accurate stand will be to say that the OP is just afraid of something similar happening to her. The problem, I believe is that many women refuse to build their value away from sex and their youthful physical attributes. With advancing age and the accompanying decline in said attributes, there's really nothing else she has to offer that could spark and/or maintain a man's interest. 12 Likes 2 Shares |

EriMma1: Only thing wrong with your observation is how you described it as sudden. It is never sudden. If it becomes obvious by the tenth year of marriage, be sure that the man's frustration has been building for about half of that period (5 years) A man sees most (if not all) the qualities he desires in a woman, and makes her his wife. Some years down the line, the wife either sees no need to keep on behaving in that manner that endeared her to her husband initially, or it happened that she was a pretender and is tired of it, and then reverted to her normal self, to the dismay of the man. I've seen and experienced this. 23 Likes 6 Shares |

Dogalmighty17: I'm telling you bro. I've got one here tho quite decent cuz she's still a virgin at 26. You can't hug her as a guy, she'll change it for you if you play with her hair, romantic play or words will leave you disappointed (her replies would be keep deceiving yourself or na me you dey whine) etc she'll only show affection to you only when you buy her something or give her money. needless to say she's not even intelligent, you engage her in some topics and she can't relate I just gave up on her and detach myself. Guess she forgot time is no longer on her side and she's just bout 3years to clocking 30. Now imagine when you marry someone like her, when will you not get bored in weeks after the marriage 4 Likes 1 Share |

EriMma1: There are a myriad of reasons why couples lose interest in themselves. However, it is never sudden except something huge like infidelity, an extreme deception, paternity fraud or another family is discovered. It is a gradual process where the interest loser might/ might not communicate same and the losee might/ might not notice. 4 Likes |

Definitely not all men lose interest in their wives in future. However any woman who finds herself in this situation should calm down, draw the children to yourself alone, tell them the pain their dad is causing and make sure you have one or two sources of income. Then as the man begins to get older, then you can go ahead and punish him very well. This is where people begin to talk and blame women, they forget the man is reaping what he sowed. Mindlog:It is what it is. In the environment where I live in Nigeria, men are seeing as liabilities should they demand care and love. They are meant to work their asses off, marry, care for wife and children, and just about the time the children are ripe enough to care for their parents, he dies leaving the wife to enjoy all the benefits. Even when he defies death and lives on, he dares not demand love and care from his family, else he'll be considered a liability and less of a man. That's the reality most men have come to accept in my environment. 21 Likes 3 Shares |

Familiarity breeds boredom. If we Africans can imbibe the values of divorce and seperation, not see it as evil or bad but as a means of happiness. We will start having a better society. First e must have a fairly good economy so that dependency will reduce. Am married for 14+yrs ane feels same at times, never seen another woman/man panty. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Jman06: You can't demand for care and love from relatives, it naturally flows from bonding. Majority of adults who feel indifferent towards their parents are aftermaths of ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences). Children who had secured attachments with their fathers during childhood and adolescence, are more likely to have their fathers close to their hearts in his old age. 5 Likes |

Re: Why Do Married Men Suddenly Lose Interest In Their Wives and try to avoid her? by Jman06(m): 10:36am On Jun 11, 2023 |
Mindlog:In my environment, it is out of place for a man to stay home and start bonding with his children. He's expected to be out there working and paying bills. But after all the years of working and paying bills, he's still considered as not available for the kids and so, no love nor care for him at old age. The mother gets all the love. Most men have made peace with that arrangement, so they try to make themselves happy the way they can and expect less from anyone. 15 Likes 1 Share |

maestro299: Says a man who will still use the industrious wife's income to chase side chicks. Who told you I don't have other values apart from sexual and physical attributes? By the way I wasn't talking about myself here but the married couples I've seen it happen to. Otaga Usifo whos wife was an industrious and high class woman also got the same treatment when her husband left her with all her values to be with a hookup girl (because of the same sexual attributes you are talking against) who ended his life. What do you have to say to that? The woman lacked virtues? Majority of you men are the most confused entities. You want to have your cake and eat it. You want a woman of virtue and still desire the harlot outside. You think we don't know? 12 Likes 3 Shares |

Mindlog:I don't mean the man should stay at home, but that is the excuse many of you give here. I have read many of you here allude to the fact that the man making money and paying bills is not caring enough. Making me wonder how else you expect a man to care for or bond with his children, given our kind of environment. 2 Likes |

saysoo: God bless you for saying the truth. This is exactly what im talking about. Couples get bored of each other ( like cococandy rightly said) at some point. In this case, going on vacation can work, not separation or divorce. Just some time off alone to breathe an air of relief until they begin to miss each other. Only then will that desire be rekindled again. And it should be done from time to time or any time boredom sets in. Give it a try. 3 Likes |

if you never marry, you no go understand.most women are devils at home.so they use love to do publicity stunt in public.men if its good at home you go know, the man and him wife go be like friends once you see any couple doing public love, just know it isn't good at home. EriMma1: 4 Likes |

LaRosa01: What of in a situation where the woman doesn't nag or do any of those things you pointed out, yet the man still prefers to hang out with friends for the most of the day, coming back only when he needs to eat or go to bed. See, I feel it's a case of greed and lack of affection on the men's side. If you don't have affection for your wife, it will be difficult to stay with her and that is why I don't want arrangee church marriage where the church feels bro and sis are getting old therefore they should get married whether the affection is there or not. 1 Like 1 Share |
