Emefiele is not igbo. Even if he was, nobody would support him.

But you were expecting an outrage already.

Emefiele is from Delta. Infact from Anioma precisely.

Prosper swore with his 2 left balls that those people were Igbos on this thread before the election.

That should be our main focus right now. Removing emefiele was a very easy no-brainer, selecting a knowledgeable, non-corrupt and independent economist is the main Koko that lets us see the path the temporal adminstration wishes to take

It was about people that called themselves delta igbo..
Not people from Delta state who identify as igbo.

There's a difference bros

No Nigeria's CBN Governor or any Government appointees can be truly independent of the President who appointed them, they should just be very good at their job and hope for less interference from powerful politicians. This is Nigeria bro, that is the reality.

Also they could be speaking one of Nkwani or Ika or something.

In this South West especially, anybody that is not hausa or yoruba is tagged igbo. They will continue calling, hating and treating other tribes as igbos until its time for political gains....that's when the same people will start telling you that igbos are only 5 states.

Election is over, we are back to calling SS people omo ibos.
I had to educate one lady here for hours that Goodluck Jonathan is not Igbo…. She said they just see us as together to make it easier to identify 💀

It’s the truth and many here know it…. Everybody na omo igbo for Lagos grin

It’s the reason many are excited about the indigene law being proposed by LAHA, including those who are not indigenes of Lagos but stan Lagos more than their origin! With the worst of them all being the ones who have nothing to lose in Lagos.

In their midget mind, if it plays out, the Igbos will suffer and others will escape. I don’t know when this foolishness and shortsightedness will end for many. I swear I read many comments for the cruise.

Naaaa, they never will.

While they are busy fanning the embers of hate and playing extreme identity politics on the Igbos, the Igbo man has gone to morning mass/ church to thank his “Chi” for last week and pray for a successful week ahead.

Early tomorrow morning, the Igbo man will wake up to pursue money, add to whatever he has achieved and look to secure it for the future. Hating on Igbo’s through identity/ divisive politics has never worked, we always find a way out.

Some people are just dull
Someone appointed you out of thousands of qualified people and you expect independence from the administration. Maybe you will expect the appointee to work against you or even usurp power

In the US we all like to make reference to, why do Democrats and Republicans struggle and fight over which administration will appoint Supreme Court Justices if not to push the agenda of the President and his party

Most Democratic president appoint judges that will favour their agenda most of the time and likewise Republicans too

I dont know anywhere in Delta bros.

The point is that there's no way I'll see someone from Delta and automatically assume the person is Igbo. Only an ignorant person will paint both the SS and the SE with the same brush.

Anybody that sees how GEJ dress and his state origin and still call him Igbo is very ignorant about her home country and shouldn't be taken serious.

There are too many ignorant people roaming the streets jare. I can understand people from earlier generations in the 50s and 60s making that mistake, but for someone in the internet age to do that is ridiculous.

Tinubu’s plans to double Nigeria’s Crude Production, raise $17.4 bn through sell down Nigeria’s newly inaugurated President, Bola Tinubu ‘s administration announced ambitious programmes and targets for Nigeria’s energy industry, citing a target of 4 million barrels per day production capacity by 2030 and also 12bcf/d Gas Production Capacity from 3.5bcf/d of Gas production capacity today.

They said this can be done by Mandating the NNPCL and NUPRC/NMDPRA to close out outstanding divestments, Strip NNPCL of policy-making roles and sell down NNPCL’s joint ventures to a minority position and develop an operating model that eliminates cash calls with targeted raise of $17.4 billion.

This was disclosed in the report by the Energy & Natural Resources subcommittees of the Bola Tinubu’s Advisory Council, proposing changes to enable growth in Nigeria’s Energy & Natural Resources Sectors viewed by Nairametrics.

Energy Vision 2030

According to the report, Nigeria is currently producing 3.5bcd/d of Gas production capacity and 1.4 Mbps of oil production capacity,2,500kta Petrochemicals Capacity.

The forecasted target for 2030 includes milestones of 12bcf/d Gas Production Capacity, 4mmbpd Oil Production Capacity and 7,500kta Petrochemicals Capacity
Present Challenges

The report noted that to hit those targets, Nigeria’s oil and gas sector must address its current challenges, restore, grow, and sustain production to deliver economic growth

They listed Highlights of present economic and sector challenges, which are:

“$70 billion worth of investments lost in the petroleum industry since 2011 also due to the absence of the PIA.”

“ Insecurity is a major sector challenge. $46.16 billion was lost to crude oil theft between 2009 and 2020

“$10.70 billion lost annually to PMS subsidy and inefficiencies associated with the purchase, distribution, and sale of PMS.”

“Governance and regulatory concerns have eroded investor confidence, diverting private capital needed for the development of critical oil and gas infrastructure.

“Cumulatively, these have reduced the energy sector’s contribution to economic growth and deprived citizens of the necessary infrastructure and social amenities required for improving living standards.

NNPC Reforms and Plan Outline

The Committee recommends that Nigeria’s energy must restore, grow, and sustain production through three horizons, which would include Head-hunting competent, tested, reform-focused leaders in NNPCL ensuring its function as a commercial entity per PIA; paying taxes and profit to the Federation Account, also Strip NNPCL of policy-making roles, sell down assets and keep NCDMB within its Act mandate.

Article Summary

Ambitious Targets: Nigeria’s President Tinubu aims to reach 4 million barrels per day of oil and 12 billion cubic feet per day of gas production capacity by 2030.
Challenges: The energy sector faces lost investments, insecurity, fuel subsidy inefficiencies, governance concerns, and infrastructure limitations.

Reforms and Plan: The proposed plan includes reforms, divestments, policy changes, regulatory improvements, and the development of greenfield projects to achieve the targets.

about fking time. time to divest that loss making kaduna refinery. the only way that place will be run competently is if it is private hands.
i would have said same for nigerian ar - but that is nigerian air in name only, with only 5% for FG. government owned and run enterprises are not the way. i have been made to understand [i dont fully understand it] that the so called NNPC privatization is not a true privatization or something like that.

Kachikwu had a lot of initiatives that were resisted at the time. I expect PBAT to push these through

The one man who will hold Nigeria hostage through sales like this to friends in private sector 😁 should be the one to oversee this.

We already know that tinubu is a thief!! He steals government resources and allocates them to himself.

Let's pray that this short period he's there is not one he uses to accumulate more wealth for himself with our national resources.
