Cause and effect toys for their motor and fine skills so anything with light and music that brings about a reaction.
Toy phones they can dial,Soft stacking bricks.Things that they can twist and turn and balls they can roll.

Rob kwa!!!. Sorry ma if i might sound offensive but some of the things you have been posting that you administered to your child seems very odd. I hope you dont end up harming that innocent baby.

Exclusively breastfed babies can go several days without pooping. Its totally normal

What do you mean by odd? If I know I wouldn't come here to ask? I'm a yoruba & administering rob is one of the ways they use in this case. So if I'm asking its because I want to be enlighten

Good morning ma, my baby (she'll be in months old on 3th) has not poop since 4days ago. I dip Rob in her anus 3days ago so she later poop at night. Since then till now she hasn't poop again. She's feeding exclusively & actively sucking.
Pls is it normal? Have anyone experienced it? Thanks
Exclusively breastfed babies sometimes go on for days without pooing. You should incorporate more vegetables and fruits into your diet. Also take more water.

mama, i know you want the best for this baby whom you waited and prayed for, but please take it easy, i remember telling you this before, some of these practices you are doing are not good for the baby, rub or mentholatum shouldn’t be used on an infant. As the yorubas will say, 4 eyes gives birth to a baby but a thousand raise a baby, please if you are listening to all these our wonderful old mummies its time to stop it biko.

I totally agree with her. Please don’t listen to this our aged yoruba mothers. As long as your little one is farting and peeing well, he/she is perfectly fine. Exclusive babies go on for days without pooing so it’s not out of place. There’s no need doing anything to force the poo out. May the Almighty protect our little ones.

I don't know if it is late but I suggest you take TIGERNUT in any form! Make milk out of it, eat it raw like that or the powereded form. Just take enough Tigernut, you will see massive difference

Thank you ma

Hello experienced mamas in the house. God bless you for the good work you all are doing here.
My baby girl is 7 months old, I did 6 months exclusive breastfeeding. I couldn't continue due to our present financial crisis. I wasn't feeding well despite still breastfeeding, I was looking very emaciated and fell ill often, plus my baby eats a lot. So hubby asked me to stop breastfeeding after 6 months. I started making tom brown ( maize, guinea corn, soya bean, dates, ground nuts and sweet potato) and mixing it with baby formula for her. She liked it at first and was looking chubby and healthy, she's a naturally chubby baby, even while I was breast feeding.
Recently, I couldn't afford the formula, so I have been giving her only the tom brown, she doesn't take it as much as before and I noticed that whenever she does, she passes a very large amount of poop but it's not runny like diarrhoea, just lots of brown mushy poop that looks a lot like the tom brown she took. It's not watery at all. She also seems to be losing a bit of weight and only takes a little bit of the tom brown at a time. I'm so confused, I feel so guilty that I stopped breastfeeding. Please some one help me with answers.

EBF babies can go 5-6days not pooping.... Pls dont use rob on ur baby... Rob contains lot of camphor which is not good for babies... It may induce seizure to baby if its too much.... Becareful of wat u give ur baby please.

Good Morning mamas. Pls help me out oo… my baby broke out with this very stubborn nappy rash all of a sudden ooo… normally her nappy rash is mild and once I use sudocreme it disappears before this next day. This one no clear me at all. Just happened suddenly between Wednesday morning till evening fa. It has sore red blisters. About 5 open shiny and reddish sore/blister around her bum/vulva. I’ve used sudocreme, Vaseline, epiderm and been giving her well kid multivit. The only meal I changed recently was nan ooo. From nan2 optipro to comfortis coz that’s what her dad found in the mall.

Pls what can I use? She doesn’t scratch nor act fussy except during diaper change. I’m considering visiting a paed tmrw bayi. Attached is a photo… (sensitive) she’ll be 10months in few days

Please take your child to the hospital immediately not tomorrow. An open sore can cause a serious infection.

Good evening Mum,

Metholatum and silver bird are not recommended to be used on babies younger than two.

Few health practitioners may say you can us it,but this only means they have judged your individual situation and the benefits outnumbers the risks.

To your question,I would say no.Instead give a warm bath, cover them up properly and give warm milk.

If nose is clogged a few drops of saline and a bulb syringe should help remove mucus.

Hope your little one is better in a few days.

Good day All,
I will like to ask how early can a mother who is studying resume back to classes after delivery? She will be going to school from home and classes are usually about 4hours for 4 days/week and many assignments and quizzes to study for. She also has an active toddler to cater for.

My baby had same. Northerners also call it jedi jedi. I was told to reduce the way I eat sugar things. Then there's this red leaf you can boil and bath baby with, it will help clear baby's skin.

As soon as she can depending on what's happening in school. While I was in year 5, a departmental mate gave birth overnight and was in school that morning cos we had exams. Someone carried the baby for her. If not for the exam, she could have stayed back a little.

Ensure there's help for her. Either your mum or her mum so she can have time to study and also rest. You should also be ready to help out with assignments and also engage the toddler so the mum can pull her academics together
