I don’t think it was the best decision for your sister to add a support letter, bank statement etc. Just mentioning her would have been ok, and saying she will help you get on quicker. Your husband and you should have all the required documents put together to show proof of relationship, assets/business back home, proof of income from the business as well as registration documents showing your names. The sponsorship letter should have come only from your husband to show he is capable to take full responsibilities. In addition, your SOP should be compelling and explanatory. As someone mentioned earlier, cash flow in your account should be consistent with your kind of income/work and lump sums must be logically explained. AdesheO: 5 Likes 1 Share |

AdesheO: You did the right thing. VO's sometimes intentionally do these things probably because they think the person will give up and not challenge their decision. If they deny you again based on ties, go to judicial review, they will likely settle even before the case goes for hearing cos they know they will loose. There are enough legal rulings on that. I have only 1 sibling still in Nigeria and I want to sponsor to school in the next few months. Since all of us in Canada are citizens except 1 who is still a PR, I know ties will be a problem in her application. So I have spent time researching on JR cases that are decided on ties cos I Know IRCC will likely not issue that visa without a fight. We will be ready for them. 2 Likes |

Mybank statement MBS is for the number of months you specify to your bank. It’s what you ask your bank to do that will be done and sent to the embassy, and the ticket will be given/sent to you, which you will attach as part of your POF. IRCC requirement is at least 4 months. Kenelly: |

Hey guys I have some questions, 1 my dad is retired and we own farmlands as a family business and have two lease but when reading other people's rejection our business have no certificate from the government we I still get a visa. 2 if someone is into an online business how will you show POF since it going to be lumps deposit. Note; the 2nd option is if the first doesn't work out. Thanks for your reply. (Modify) (Quote) (Report) (Share) |

Thanks for the response bros. Option 1 seems fair provided all things are equal. Fear is if IRCC goes back to sleep mode and we wait endlessly for visa Option 2: Would strong home ties like personal building with a good valuation, study leave from both employers, immediate siblings and parents be enuf as home ties? It's the duration of study (1 year) that is actually making me look for anyone in the same boat to boost my confidence. I know with 2 years, there are plenty success stories. ShowYoung: |

Why in God's name do you want to apply for a visa to Canada with your brother's wife and kid? Your brother and his family should apply separately if they want to go to Canada. This type of combination can only lead to instant denial. nubiod99: |

Hello beautiful people, Thanks for all the good work. My husband is into Christain ministry. He studied mechanical engineering as his undergraduate program but got called into ministry. He has however over the years worked in different capacities in Christain Ministry and done short term certificate courses in Nigeria, Ghana and Australia. He has published two books in Christain Ministry. He is self employed and also does many non profit projects in Christian Ministry. He wants to go for Masters in Theology now. We are a family of 7 and intend to travel together He inherited many real real estates from his late father 7 years ago and some from his late brother 2 years ago. His major source of income is RENTS from these real estate which runs into millions yearly Asides deed of lease and conveyance, survey plan. What other documents can we use to prove that rents are paid? Pls note that the tenants are up to or more than 30 individual families, so I don't know wether it makes sense to upload all their invoices, receipts, agreement etc considering the file would be to large Pls do advise on what document to upload for proof of financial means Also is 35milliom sufficient for a family of 7 with school fees for 2 years being 21,000CAD? Is there anyone willing to help us go through our 9 pages SOP? I will appreciate responses.pls do not just scroll by 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Thanks in advance 1 Like |

AdesheO: From my angle, you did everything right, we have similar cases. Yours is your sister, mine is my wife. Many people, even lawyers and immigration consultants that I contacted in canada said my case was impossible, Immigration Consultants in Quora said same thing. I only reapplied so that I can get a rejection letter to claim tuition refund, then guess what? God stood in between... I added some few new documents anyway, but in all I strongly believe it is God. Why you prepare to reapply, please keep praying and believe in faith, without doubt. There is nothing impossible with God... You can DM me let me tell you things I added, or check my previous post, you will see documents I submitted. I will advise against JR, its not necessary. Get the gmcs, pray and reapply... 2 Likes 3 Shares |

Please MyBankStatement is requested specifically for Student Express Stream and what is requested is 12 months if you don't want to do the express stream then you don't need MyBankStatement at all but it is 12 MONTHS for the express stream Goldentony2nice: |

Kenelly:I don’t think this is correct information. MyBankStatement is simply the form of statement sent digitally to the embassy so you don’t need to upload bulky pages of scanned bank statements. I used it for my ward, a 5 month period. She is Canada since last year. My niece just used it for a 4 month period.. submitted her application May 25th, did her biometrics June 1st, got her PPR June 12, 2023. A lot of other people have used it on the platform. Please applicants with bulky pages of Statement of accounts is advisable you use MBS. Does Nigerian Student Express still work? people with out 12 months statements or IELTS have been getting PPR in 2-3weeks. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

AdesheO:Sorry about your refusal. I reckon with most of the suggestions and responses you have been given. Leave out sister’s SOA n docs. The account is it yours or hubby’s?. If yours, then your self sponsored, hubby doesn’t have to give you a sponsorship letter, a consent letter saying he is in support of your studies, should suffice. Include a letter of explanation on your SOA on how saved the funds especially if the savings was amassed in a short time in comparison to your income. In you SOP, do some adjustments on the proof of funds, study goals and home ties sections The 1st session tuition was it paid from your account? Show proof of that if possible. We hear the free CBSA notes come out faster than GCMS notes, you may want to try that. I wish you the best in your next application. 1 Like 1 Share |

jaydave:IRCC has its own exchange rate. POF is not calculated at our rates. Check the link https://www.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/cgi-bin/recgen/er.pl?Language=E I stand to be corrected. 1 Like |

MBS is not for Student Express Stream alone. In fact it’s for authenticity sake and clarity. The fact that your bank communicates with the embassy directly makes it easily verified. My wife and children submitted my personal savings bank account MBS ticket of 5 months as part of POF for their study visas late last year. They were not on student express stream. Kenelly: |

I disagree with you on this. My younger brother just got his study visa approved recently, do note that I am currently in Canada with my husband and I came with a study permit and now on pgwp and it was stated in my brother's application. He clearly stated this in his application "that I and my husband were his only family in Canada" Zane2point4: |
