Yes

Hello, how do you mean "Lagos date is out?" Does it mean if one uses Lagos embassy you'd get a close date like this same June?

Please, chat me, I just send you a mail . Check your inbox. THANKS

Lagos

Please, how I do get the reason for previous denial? It wasn't stated in the mail I got.

AZzoe:

This is amazing....you could try. But if you want to retry, you could address the reason for the previous denial.

Please Lagos or Abuja?

Thank you this really motivated me because I already told my dad to let me go to nursing school because I finished secondary School 2020 and started my visa application 2021 I was supposed to resume last year but could not get a interview date so I deferred it to this year just to get denied but my dad was the motivating me to reapply again and trust God maybe I can get a new date before August 21 and also get my visa approved. I pray so because I am worried about the time running out for me

Don't give up! Don't listen to voices that tell you why you won't make it.

Make sure you address the issue that got you denied.

I really don't know...you could use instinct. Like ensure you have paid your SEVIS fee, your program start date is within 60 days...

Visa denied(2nd attempt)
First attempt was for spring admission but a different school
COA:~30k

Scholarship:~12k
Program: MPH
School: LSUS
Deficit: to be paid by me
Location: US consulate office in one of the middle east country(where I work, same consulate as the first but not same VO. Although I saw the VO that denied before, and I even had wanted he be the one to interview me)

VO: I can see you were denied...
Me: yes sir I was denied xyz, I made some mistake while filling the DS 160 form, also my passport was less than 6month(I applied for the passport renewal in our of the Nigerian embassy in the middle east country but has not gotten the new passport). I got accepted in another school with funding and the school aligns better...(VO cuts in)
NB previous school's COA was over 40k with no fundings, but the school has higher ranking

VO: pass me you I-20( I passed it to him and wanted to also give him my SOA but he was not interested in that one)
VO: where is the admission letter
Me: (never knew they would ask for it and also did not receive any official admission letter from the school) the school did not send me any admission letter, my communication with them where via both email confirming my admission offer and through their website

VO: how long have you been in this country
Me: about 1yr 11m, working with...(VO cuts in)
VO: are you married
Me: no sir but I started the process during my last vacation in Nigeria and will hopefully be completing the process after my program or before that if possible
VO: (starred at him computer for about a minute as if reading something and a bit worried) sorry you are not eligible for the visa you applied for(hands me my passport and denial letter)
Me: please what is the possible reason for my denial
VO: we do not tell people why they are denied.

On back of the paper, the alien(3rd country applicant stuff) immigration law was stated, some like aliens(foreigners working in another country) are seen as immigrants until they can prove otherwise to the satisfaction of the consulate officer...
I think one of the major issues I had was applying from another country and not having enough home ties/proving so(eg same question of how long you have been in XYZ country and are you married were asked in first attempt).

My observations in the consulate office:
It is very easy to get appointment dates(eg one can see appointment dates within 3days of intended interview date,...)

Most citizens are granted visas(F1, tourist, etc) without much questions while noncitizens are refused more with more questioning.

I am currently thinking if I should forget about the school stuff, settle down first before reapplying, defer the admission or reapply from Nigeria(I do not think it is wise to reapply from the country as it does not provide enough ties, I maybe wrong though)

My questions are:
1. If I decide to reapply ASAP, is it possible to apply from Nigeria while still leaving and working outside Nigeria?(if possible, how can I go about it especially in filling DS 160 form, the section of home/mailing address, employment details, referee, etc. Also, how possible is it to get date(program starts in 3rd week of August) before then and do I create another email with ustraveldocs.com?

2. Has any one use the services of a visa consultant like argovisa, etc. I am considering using one but do not know if it is worth it especially considering the cost?

Please holistic advice from gurus here would be greatly appreciated.
You are not economically established, your immigration status is not strong enough and no strong ties in your country of residence. You should reapply from your country of resident if your situation changes. If you decide to apply from Nigeria you need to show significant ties in your country of citizenship. You need to get your story right around where you work and why you are applying from Nigeria.

My advice is, don't be in a hurry to reapply without trying to at least understand why you were denied (by sharing your transcript and asking people to critique it). Has anything significant changed about your profile between the denial and now ? You need to ask yourself this question.

Like you said, there are people who reapplied immediately and got approved, there are also those who got denied yet again, however, understanding the (likely) reason for your denial will improve the odds of getting approved, and help you navigate your way around the reason for the previous denial.

It's ultimately your decision and yours alone to make. All the best.

Please TEMITOPE and everyone I need ur urgent advice on this
I was denied yesterday and I want to reapply and see if I can get a date before August 28 but some people said it may look like I am desperate to Leave Nigeria and they may not give me again
And also I heard that the rate of approval for people like me who just finished secondary School/ high school is low compared to people who are going for their graduate's
But I have also seen people who got denied and reapply again after some days and got approved so it's confusing me

Find another school that doesn't require this much effort to give you admission or i-20

Thank you so much. I appreciate that. Her husband is in US and currently in his OPT working. Probably that could have caused the denial. What is suggestion regarding proof of fund. In the 1st interview she used the husband and a sponsor but she want to to reapply now . Her school has been contacted to update the I-20 to include personal fund. In addition, the sponsor is now the main one while been second by the husband and a personal fund. I hope the new strategy is ok. Thank you for your time.

Thank you once again.

What can i do in this situation? School resumes August, Embassy rescheduled interview to Sep. I tried to get EA but was denied because it is still outside the 60days window I am guessing.
My questions are
1. Has anyone who requested for EA received here?
2. Does sending email to support help?

Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by reigningme: 7:30pm On Jun 15, 2023
Thank you for your response. She was denied and the passport was returned back to her.
GlorifiedNoW:

Was she denied or delayed?
Is her passport truly with the embassy? If yes, then she has to wait or send an email to them via : support@ustraveldocs.com
Usually when no response ( not denied, not accepted) was given to you during your interview, and they took your passport it means it's under "administrative processing" they're going through your information and they'll definitely get back to you.

Thank you. This is my transcript
Vo- pass me me your passport and I-20
Me- here they are
Vo - why are you going for an associate degree in nursing
Me- my primary motivation for pursuing a career in nursing has been my passion to take care of others from a young age I have been always been eager to take care of my friends and classmates in school who got hurt or sick and also I have been volunteering at my youth pastor husband hospital she is a nurse and she schooled at Cleveland State University and and I have volunteering at her husband hospital since my secondary School days and I also want to be part of the nursing sector here in Nigeria and make a difference as a skilled nurse with the knowledge I already gained during my studies in the us ( I think this is where the problem came from here I was supposed to say getting an associate degree was like laying a foundation for me in my career before transferring to a four year university to get my Bsn and explain more because I was going to a community college but because I was very nervous and didn't understand the question before answering I said said something else
Vo- who is sponsoring you
Me- my dad will be at sponsoring me throughout the duration of my stay in the US he is an architect and he is also into building construction and real estate management and he also has rental properties here in Lagos and ogun state where we reside and also he is into transportation business where he gives out cars to drivers who pay for it in installments every week. Then straight she gave me the blue paper and also I think she noticed I was nervous. So what's your advice everyone becos I'm trying to reapply again. What is your status in the Middle East country? Visa or permit? If you have a permit that should not be a problem. I did something similar but from a European country. If you are on a visa alone, it could raise suspicion that you are simply shopping for a favorable location.

Good morning my dear people. I got denied my MPOWER loan application because according to them: "Your projected debt burden at the time of graduation exceeds our risk limits".
I have a 50% scholarship award and I requested for the remaining 50% balance which amounts to about $32k.
Pls what other options are available to me.

I have a US cosigner who is ready to help out, but his credit history is less than 3 years which is what other loan companies like Earnest, Ascent, and Sallie Mae requires. They all rejected my cosigner due to that fact.

I need help...abeg ooo🙏🏽

I work in the Middle East country and I have my resident permit.
Please you mean you applied in Nigeria from a European country?
What was the experience like and how were you able to explainwhy you applied in your home country instead of the European country where you stay?
. No. I had residence permits for Austria and Hungary because of my school. There was never a question about that. However, the guy that had the interview before me traveled from another country (likely a European country) to Budapest for his interview. That was the bone of contention. The lady kept asking why he traveled to another country for the interview.
