Anny69: Mmm⦠OK. I stumbled on bestgore.com by accident from a website about an accident that occured wherein a lady was twisted under a can after she was ran over. I knew about deathaddict.com from someone's comment here on nairaland.com. That's how I knew about both websites, but bestgore has shut down due to petitions pinned against the site. Happy now? |

LAST BURIAL 10/10 Its one thing to make a good movie, its another thing to make a movie that fulfils all expectations. Suspense, intrigues, tension, drama name them. Based on true life story, this thriller captures the clash of powers between the agents of light and darkness at a dead man's funeral. For two hours fifty two minutes, it was total war and pandemonium from two opposing sides that would lead to a knife edge crescendo. One of the best films to come out of africa. It features a stellar performance from a stellar cast. Viewers discretion is strongly advised if your heart is made of glass |

The flash 2023. 8/10 First and foremost, the people talking trash about this movie are jobless clout-chasers. The CGI is actually very good given all the slow motion and quick speed fights. The plot makes sense. Batman will surprise everyone- no way home style I'm too tired to write a long review. Also, the after credit scene took too long to happen. At least, it was funny. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

The Flash (2023). "Alternate title: Michael Keaton's Batman 2023: The flash paradox" . CBM are in a multiverse and "special guest" parade loop recently for fan service and I think WB and DC casually tank the appeal of these nostalgic casting here because it overshadowed the main meal. The marketing team tried to deflect the Ezra Miller shenanigans by putting scenes that showed Micheal Keaton's Batman turning up, in the forefront of the promos. It made the entire first act of this, feel not like a Barry Allen story but a big prelude, because the said scenes were the focus of the promos, all of the ticklish pauses left for we the crowd to go nuts on the reveal were pointless because the element of surprise was gone. This coming right after Across the Spider verse did this movie a great disservice, as that took the multiverse, time space continuum and reminiscing trope in the most stunning visual and fulfilling way that makes this look like a Child's Play, attempting it. The plot was not consistent, they were trying too many angles and sticking a proper landing was hard because of that. The writing was aloof, trying to accommodate various plot lines whilst losing the focus that this is in fact a "Flash" Movie. There's was a point were Keaton's explained the time space jargon to Barry that a change in a time line doesn't change things linearly but somewhat create a "perpendicular fulcrum" ( How a 90 year old Batman is vastly versed in the finer details of the logic of time space continuum is beyond me btw, but i will allow it), "The Flash 2023" exist in this fulcrum, a mid point between the Ridiculously and seriously good Snyder Cut JL and the not so good, CGI goof 2017 version. They were strong points. A good CBM must have a strong opening scene, and this was good. Some great comedic moments, Whilst i had a problem with Michael Keaton almost overshadowing the entire flick, His cameo (saying cameo lightly because he had ample screen time) was a good one , and an ode is paid to the Superman and Batman movies from before with good references and cameos. There's also a strong Jason Momoa/Arthur Curry/Aquaman arc link which firmly grounds the notion that this is in fact a DCEU movie, a run they are planning to continue under the new DC helm, most likely in "Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom" on Christmas day. Whilst the following careers in the DCEU are a pipe dream now,Ben Affleck on his Batmobile did a fine bridge chase with a charisma that made his Batman Era slightly good, and i screamed a little when i heard the "Wonder Woman" theme score, and Gal Gadot appeared!. This is a direct backdoor to "Man of Steel" (2013) and so Micheal Shannon reprises his role as General Zod, good then, good now!.Ezra Miller is a good "Barry Allen" and i believe in a good story and a properly written script for "him" and with his own "villain" , he would shine because despite what the title says, this was 70% not his movie, and it felt more like a "Justice League" Offshoot. The CGI was botch work to be honest especially in the opening scene, it was like Justice League 2017 weird level, not really bad, but weird, but this kind of had a comedic relief to the narrative so maybe it was deliberate but considering the budget, i expected better and there were some weird VFX going on as well. Not the recent CGI and VFX MCU bad tho, but maan, i think they had enough time to work on it and still goofed. The AI and Deepfake to bring Christopher Reeve from the Superman of 78 and 87, and Helen Slater from Supergirl 84, and other versions of the Superman and Batman from various variations of both media, was well below standard but i appreciated the effort, basically Nostalgia heroin high!. There are some sparks in this (pun intended β‘) that are genuinely good but it becomes anonymous quickly in the third act, cascading to a semi forgettable CBM that you just have to see to the end but that's it, as the perks may or may not be strong enough to earn it a meaningful replay value. It's not the best CBM this year but it's certainly not the worst by a far stretch, not when Ant-man and the Wasp:Qauntumlxx exists. I'm at a crossroad with this as this is so much touch and go. See it on the biggest screen if you are a fan of the DC lore over the years, the nostalgic trip is worth it and Ezra Miller as Barry Allen has a little reward but if you are not a fan of this lore, then the good parts of the movie with all the references will do you no good , and if you are stretched for cash, you can skip a cinema visit for this and wait for it to sail in a month or two.
