Hello gurus Please I need sincere answers, suggestions or advice. My brother reached out to me, saying that an agent is charging him 5m for Canada visitors Visa, but she said he should pay 2m , and when he gets there and starts working,he will pay back the remaining 3m. But from my research so far, to convert a vv to a WV one will need a job willing to offer LMIA Now my questions are 1. How easy is it to get a job that can give LMIA, when he is no STEM (science, tech, engineering and medical) 2. I have been reading that it's possible, but have not seen any testimonies of people that have actually converted. 3. He doesn't have anyone to stay with in Canada, and doesn't have funds to pay for rent for more than a month. Can he get a job within one month. 4. If he is fortunate to get someone to stay with, what is the probability to get a job willing to give him LMIA before the first 6 months elapses. 1 Like |

Emmafe: @Emmafe Thank you so much for this approach. I sent web forms and also Emails and I got a response just now. I will like to give you a background of the situation. My younger brother who lives in the US was the one who sponsored my Sister for her masters program in Canada. This application for a visit visa that was submitted to IRCC is a family Group visa and the applicant included are my mom and myself. My younger brother in the United States is the sponsor of this trip. Documents My younger brother submitted are : His Bank of America personal bank statement : 489k USD balance 6 months of bank statement Reference letter from Bank of America showing 12 months transaction and average monthly balance Letter of sponsorship (signed affidavit) US passport data page 8 months paystubs. For myself, since my brother is sponsoring the trip I submitted the following Employment letter from work (a school in the United States) My marriage certificate My kids birth certificate Document of landed property (inherited from my dad) Family picture of my mom , brother , sister and I CAC certificate Now , just now we received an update and my mom got a BVL. For my own application, I got a BVL and Refusal letter. The generic letter is Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable). My monthly transaction is about 500k Naira per month and after paying bills what’s left is nothing. How can I tackle this refusal and reapply? My brother in the US is suggesting sending 5 million Naira to one of my accounts and then i transfer it from that account to my primary account. Or please how do I go about this? I would appreciate y’alls input The graduation is in August and this will avail all us to come together as a family. |

Jtom301: Hi Asset situation entails you do not have enough. Their exchange goes with OANDA, and exchanging your balance with the value they have returned that response to you. Before anything , is this 500,000 a job? Or your personal business? If it's a personal business , please do not have it to show 500,000 let it be more. If it's a salary then hmmm ... I strongly sense you included a bank statement and besides that , you didn't include anything else as a business in your name, (pls confirm if you included everything in your application form) landed property with a sworn affidavit claiming you derive funds from that venue. When making an application, it's best to consider exchange rates most times. 500,000/ month is big there in Nigeria, but it's looking like it's a token in Canada , in your next application, have a substantial amount in the bank account and give a possible connection to how the funds appeared inside your bank account. Your brother said 5 million (which is okay) , Canada also would like to see how that 5 million came about as they strongly want to believe you have a job that gave that money to you. In your next application making it bullet proof, after attaching your payslips, if you can, attach a business document from CAC , landed property (any one you have with an affidavit) , and let the affidavit point out you derive funds from there and secondly they should be able to see it that it serves as a reason to come back to Nigeria (tie to home country). Order GCMS notes to see where the major challenges were and I hope you see a similar thing as stated here which I told you. Make your application bullet proof this time, and with prayers , God will give you a positive response. Peace. Good luck with your new application. 1 Like |

Jtom301:As an adult even thou you’re bn sponsored. You’re still expected to have a good financial record, that’s show are doing well in your home country n it proves good home tie. The only issue I sense here is you didn’t include you own bank statement, the VO isn’t convinced you’re doing well in your home country n likely want to Japa. You can follow your uncle’s advice but make sure the deposit isn’t at once, if it’s lump sum the VO will know it’s just for visa demonstration. 1 Like |

thinezy:Visitor visa is very easy to do if he has all required documents. That 2m he wants to pay he will with flight and other stuffs. Converting vv to close work permit isn’t easy. Don’t let any agent sweet talk o. My wife is an int’l student, I’ve bn helping her apply for jobs. Most employers will ask if you’re legally allowed to work in Canada, they don’t want to go through that stress on getting LMIA. Getting a menial job isn’t that easy, I’ve applied to over 200 jobs for my wife, it’s not that easy o. He should have minimum of 3 months living expenses with him, the route is 50/50, no guarantee when he will land a sponsored job. You can introduce him to this thread, let him read and understand the process n apply himself, that will save agent fee. He can try n if he gets the visa, enter and try is luck. It’s difficult to get LMIA jobs doesn’t mean it’s not possible. 6 Likes |

thinezy: Visit visas are somewhat easy @Emmafe Said it all, just for a Wrap up... Make sure : - You have a job to fall back to for the sakes of pay slips etc, leave Letter when you applying etc, Job background. (Visa officers wonna see this) - Make sure you have substantial amount in the bank account. That 2 million naira will go a long way if you keep it and learn to process most of these things yourself. - Travel history (Your best bet is to start with Visa free countries, travel during weekends , then visa on arrival countries during your leave) - Get the inviting party to send you a letter when applying in order to make your application bullet proof. If you not invited by a Company, you can still go on normal tourism to Canada just make sure you have a valid reason to put in the column where they asked you to fill the reason you coming to visit them. - If you have a small business, Include the CAC certificate. Now Gods grace, you have the visa. The next thing you have to do is secure a Job (This is the hard part, usually done when inside Canada) You have to go on several websites and search for jobs (In your field) that gives LMIA. You said you have not seen, but most Indian people I have discussed with, convert in that way, Or they create companies in Canada and Apply for work permits later on. You can set up a business once you have the available funds , then you in business, else, tailor your Resume to be real standard and let them know you have the full experience in that field, that way you can get hired. Just make sure you do the following : - Your CV / Resume has to be Canadian Standard Resume - You check if your Skillset falls in an available NOC / Province Watch some Youtube videos to see how to tailor a Canadian Standard Resume. If it does work and you get Hired, Congratulations, God did it, Now start working towards converting your Visit visa (TRV) to Work Permit. This part you have to understand how to Do something Called "Flag Polling". Either go to US / Canada Border at British Colombia, Queens or Niagra Falls. You have to be rejected by the US Border controls and be given a paper to Apply to the Canadian Immigration for Flag Polling , Dont worry they understand Haha... Question for number 3 and 4, No one can guarantee this, as it solely depends on the request of the company and the vacancy requirements required. Secondly it depends on your brother as a Forecast is almost an impossibility, people migrate to Canada on a daily. Places like Scarborough has tons of Indians and Pakistanis who migrate there in droves on a daily. Before they close their doors come 2025, i suggest you do more of applying than asking questions like these. Time would come , migrating to Australia and Canada would be far worse than what is obtainable present day. This is how Far I can go, The rest you can make indepth research on it and settle with it. Good Luck! 5 Likes 1 Share |

thinezy: Oh Before i forget... There are Keywords you should use when searching for Jobs with LMIA. Make sure you do not leave out those Keywords for you to see Employers with approved LMIA who fit in your field. Its a process, but with GOD and wits, nothing is impossible. Good Luck! 3 Likes |

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by affoncad: 12:55pm On Jun 17, 2023 |
Ruskov: However, it is true that many Indians have successfully established businesses and franchises in Canada, which gives them an advantage in the job process, particularly when it comes to LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment). Indians often possess significant economic and business power in Canada, which can positively influence their employment prospects. On the other hand, Nigerians may face certain challenges in terms of their economic business power in Canada, which could impact their job opportunities, especially in relation to the LMIA process. It's important to note that there may be scams associated with LMIA matters. I would strongly advise being cautious and vigilant to avoid falling victim to any LMIA scams. Ensure that you thoroughly research and verify any offers or claims related to LMIA, and do not make any payments. It's always recommended to tailor your resume to highlight your relevant skills and experiences in a standardized manner when applying for jobs. By showcasing your expertise and qualifications, you can increase your chances of getting hired, regardless of the economic business power certain communities may hold. And on a final note, have a backup plan as LMIA is not guaranteed, and finding a job may not be easy for everyone. Some students arrive and waiting for over four months in canada without securing a job, even though they have a work permit. Be cautious and don't let any agent deceive you. 5 Likes |
