Nice cameo

These nostalgia bait is getting more embarrassing. Even dead actors are now making cameos...
I didn’t see Henry Cavill’s Superman, I thought he was also included.

You haven't seen doesn't mean it doesn't exists. They have rated F for some terrible movies and F is the lowest rating in the alphabet rating if common sense is anything to go by.

I doubt if any metric use "S" as a grade system, it is probably means the movie contains high sexual content, don't confuse it for a metric gauge and stick to what you know and you are comfortable with.
S is seen as a special metric...special grade...
I don't know if any critic site uses it, but my point is that alphabetical metrics aren't consistent

A+ exist for some...for some the highest is just "A"
Same as B and B+

The only way to actually know what the rating really means is to know the exact metric used.

A far easier and more accurate method is to use figures. Alphabets preset a vague score unless someone fully knows the entire metric system being used

are you one of those people that depend on online reviews before you see movies like most cowards on this thread do? e.g Mr James beorn
I said I check reviews doesn't mean I depend on them.

I'm the same person who has said multiple times here that I don't trust critics and their reviews

I've been saying it since that these guys are fuckíng hypocrites. After all that clowning they did when Spiderman NWH came out, see how low they are stooping for fan service and nostalgia bait. I heard George Reeves was in it - The same George Reeves that committed suicide for a number of reasons, one of them being that his career took a negative turn after playing superman. What an interesting time to be a DC fan.
grin

Imagine using CGI to give dead actors a cameo...

Very pathetic...cash-grabbing tactics

Passport 2022.

Kopiko! Kopiko!! Kopiko!!!

Reeling from the "The Flash Hangover" yesterday, My plan was to see Extraction 2 but i didn't have the mental focus to see it, i was looking for something light hearted and this popped up on Netflix, and i was genuinely surprised how good it was.

I was letting out burst of laughs but seeing it's a Nollywood flick, i was expecting it to go sour at some point, but to my shock they it didn't, they were actually able to stick a very good landing in the end.

It tells a Story of a Guy who lost his passport whilst hurrying to catch a flight, the passport fell into the hands of "Area Boys" and what ensued was a very funny sequence of unfortunate events.
Perfect casting but special praise to Mercy Johnson as "Kopiko", she was the true star of the show.
If you want something fun and light hearted this weekend i highly recommend this.

A solid B and by the way it's 7.7/10 on IMBD, for people into that 👀😀
old Nollywood or new Nollywood?

When Ant Man 3 came out and one dude was spamming the thread with photos of MODOK he got on Twitter, talking shît about a movie he didn't even see in the cinemas, I didn't do anything. Now that the flush is out and I'm returning the favor he has realized that we are supposed to see the movie for ourselves first before talking shît, what a fuckîng hypocrite. I've not even started yet and I'm not even hyped to see this shît, currently hooked on warrior season 1. Oh and please if you don't understand what we're doing just shut it. This is tradition 😁.

Battle on Buka Street: 7.7/10
Genre: Drama, Comedy

Two half-sisters find themselves at loggerheads, and an unhealthy competition against each other as to who is better than the other.

Mercy Johnson & Funke Akindele really did justice to their roles, it was never a dull moment with both ladies. Awesome cinematography, a simple but yet relatable story. It was very funny and at some point when the sh.it hit the fan it became kinda emotional. A big thumbs up to Nollywood, we are gradually getting there.

He was included.. I liked all the cameos atleast it shows their legacy lives on especially George Clooney. Didn't see the need for Nicholas Cage tho.

And all the talk of Wonky CGI is just Hogwash, the CGI was top notch from beginning to end.

Apparently, the flash is doing numbers. grin

I want to see how everybody but Ezra gets blamed. Unlike in one Adama movie.

The flash

I went in a bit hyped but got disappointed.

The plot is simple but pales in comparison to the original flash point.

The ending felt lackluster and Zod was disappointing but the highlights of the movie were miller, Keaton and Calle.

overall a decent watch

7/10

Were you disappointed or was it a decent watch? It can't be both at once can it?
Your 7/10 score supports the decent part tho.

I was disappointed because like I said I was a bit hyped up for the movie but it felt flat for me although it's not a bad movie.

A decent watch is above average, nothing great, mind-blowing or spectacular. 7/10 is just about above average for me.

Extraction 2: 8/10
Genre: Action

Now that's hardcore action at it's finest, 98% of the movie was wrapped in premium vawulence, no time for drama or chit chat.

Be prepared for 2hours of heart pounding, explosive action and thrills that'd envelope you from the very first scene to the closing credits. Just switch off your brain grab your popcorn and enjoy.
did ninalowo appear in the movie please reply b4 I watch cause I know the film no get head or tail

Fast X.....7/10

This movie was basically an excuse for different action/driving sequences...

Story-wise nothing makes sense... character-wise nothing makes sense

But I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it...the stunt scenes were incredible...

Fast and Furious franchise is a shut-off-your-brain and enjoy franchise...and it delivers for what it is

I now understand where the budget of $340m went. Too many stars and too many big action sequences...
Didn't expect to see Goal Gadot in this movie
And it was clear that they just found a way to quickly squeeze in Dwayne Johnson in the post credits

Everyone was looking for an excuse to fight...
The dialogue felt like it was written by some 5 year old...

But somehow the movie was still a fun watch

I didn't go in expecting some next level plot...I went to be entertained with over-the-top action and yeah it did deliver

One thing about this franchise is that no one dies...
They'll keep bringing them back so you can't feel anything when someone "purportedly" dies
the most stupidest film ever. I won't be surprised if roman and tej did not die from that missle hit. Nothing in that movie made sense. I can't count the number of times the word family was used. The CGI terrible. Very incoherent movie. My ratings 6.5/10 not because it makes sense they can't spend money in vain.

The new Nollywood is better, i am not taking about the Asabawood.

The New Nollywood movies nowadays features not only good storylines, but the content has really improved over time. Also, we have the crispy cinematography and few times, cool special effects and good dialogues.

The actors and actresses aren't that great in comparison to the old Nollywood veteran actors and actresses, the Kanayo o Kanayo, Patience Ozokwo, Pete Edochie, Nkem owoh et.al but they are really doing well. The likes of Tobi Bakre, Blossom Chukwujuku, Bimbo Ademoye, Uzor Arukwe et.al are really giving the industry the much desired face lift.

All in, i still think the industry is playing it safe, they just have to step out of the comfort zone if they are to revolutionalize the industry.
