Well, as for me... I don't believe in 'sin'

I follow laws stated in the constitution of my country..... Not laws stated by an Israeli god or Arab god!

Sin is a made up concept to guilt people into obedience to religious strictures. I'd definitely take the law seriously.

I think it's a hold over from our ancestral beliefs when people believed strongly in retribution from the gods. In other climes where such beliefs are more attenuated you don't get the same strong reaction.

When you offend someone deliberately, is it law you have broken?

If you have that job, you won't turn yourself to my lap dog and be following me every where.

Do something meaningful with your life and stop wasting it trolling others for years

Depends on the offense. Certain offenses are unlawful others simply go against good morals, ethics and etiquette without being unlawful.

Sin is only an English word, in my local language, its called Ese ( Offense). Laws don't need to be broken to offend someone

It is a religious term. When someone steps on your foot and refuses to apologize do you say he committed a sin?

Sin is only an English word abeg. Na Sin you dey use to talk about offending others in your native language?
Re: Which One Is More Serious 'a Sin' Or 'a Crime' by EnemyofGod2: 10:22am On Jun 18, 2023
There's nothing like sin.the religious leaders used the words sin to manipulate or coerce people to submit to their imaginary God.

Op,let me tell you the bitter truth.God, Satan or Jesus Christ doesn't exist.

There's no verifiable recognizable concretable approvable evidence of their existence,no man Born of woman has ever proof the existence of God.

It beat my imagination that in 21th century, some people are still believing that God is somewhere in the sky.

It's a symptoms of primitivity of mentality, primordial sensibility, retrogressive discretion, bankruptcy of ideology and cerebral sclerosis of anybody to think God Satan or Jesus Christ existed.

An English word used almost exclusively for religious purposes and you are further proving the point by saying it is not common usage. Thanks for making my point for me.

For my language, if I said, O SE mi gan, meaning you have offended me a lot, it's almost like you have sinned against me.

Except if sin of what you use in replace of offense in your native language

Refused means deliberately/Intentionally

That's an offense logically.

No big deal in saying sorry if not deliberate
