The city of Umuahia, Abia State capital, is far behind in aesthetics to be called a State capital. https://dailypost.ng/2023/06/18/umuahia-town-still-looking-like-glorified-village-otti/ 146 Likes

No state or city in Nigeria is better than Abia State. Forget about all these thrash they said about Umuahia. No state in the whole yorubaland is better than Abia State. Lagos state is a shit hole compared to Abia State. Nigeria is jealous of Abia State because Abia State will be the capital of Biafra just as Abuja is the capital of Nigeria. Otti is comparing Umuahia with real cities in Asia, as per Nigerian standard Umuahia is fine but as per igbo standard Umuahia is a glorified village 68 Likes 4 Shares |

Aesthetically, Umuahia is in need of more improvement, but economically, it is a thriving market that is not government dependent. Ndi Abia state to the best of my knowledge don't and have never depended on the government for anything, yet the people keep flourishing. The standard in the East is sparogatively high, but the Igbos have always failed to hold their state government accountable because of their 'zero-government-dependent' socio-economic life. The interest and participation of Ndi Abia state in this past election was an improvement, but we can only pray it exposes them and Ndi Igbo in general to the importance of political participation and compelling political accountability. 16 Likes 2 Shares |

Someone finally said the truth! I have said it repeatedly and will re-emphasize that, the entirety of the South East is a glorified village. Ordinarily, all of those states should not make up more than 2 states. Obudu Cattle Ranch is still more developed than most of what they call towns and cities. 138 Likes 5 Shares |
