We saw what a squad of home based players did against Costa Rica. Nigeria is gracious when it comes to allocating spaces for home based talents. Well you are right but Enyeama used friendly match against Kenya to show he was ready and he capped it with solid performance against England in WC,just second capped…..One thing I noticed about Adeleye was his ball playing from the back.It is a pity tall keepers like Okoye and Maduka are not convincing.

and is now in india, reuben went to Kilmarnock, played 3 games, played in 3 other european countries and now based in Saudi, oboabona played in turkey and is now in georgia. after using home based players in his team, the best club anyone of them signed for was a spor team in retirement league turkey. Basically we helped their career but did they improve the national team?? we have a plethora of teams to use for showcasing talents but the super eagles should never be one of them. We can't improve the team if we continue this madness. Let them use the chan team to build confidence. I repeat, the Sao tome game should only be to cap new players. We dont really play that much games to be using one of them as confidence booster for the home based eagles. You are really not helping your case over here.

You may not understand how difficult it is, monitoring players on the local scene to gain good understanding of how they play.

Having players who play together for a long time helps team chemistry regardless of the quality of the opposition. If we are planning on working with players on the local scene, it shouldn't be different names every time.

Using the super eagles to market NPFL players won't in any way improve the league...if anything,it will cause more damage cus the best players in the league will keep leaving... Emeka Obioma who emerged top scorer in the just concluded season is already being courted by Zamalek of Egypt at a time when Enyimba are back to the CAF CL.. .
How will the league grow when the best players are leaving every time?
