Don't blame yourself bro. Just learn from it and move on fast. Don't let it affect your work. Just report them to the App. Even gurus dey fall once once!

Dropped this guy at banana Island from around Maryland, and up till date that number has been switched off. He actually did the transfer in my presence, but I never got the alert. This was during the time banks had issues with their network....the naira scarcity time.

I just taya for some riders. I didn't propose price though, I accepted her price. I don't know why they would order 2 rides at the same time! They just make U waste fuel, time and energy. She even had the mind to call the other driver "tout"
Some of them don't even know that some of us(drivers) are masters degree holders and also married.

About 2 nights ago, I was already on the mainland looking for a trip to meet my target. This girl ordered from Mcneil Rd. Got there and immediately saw another guy parked behind me. I called her and she said she was coming out. She called me after some minutes and said she would be going with someone else, who's cheaper. It was 2k trip. She said the other guy was 1500. I just went to the other guy, explained to him and begged him to cancel. He cancelled and we both drove off.

These girls don't even care at all. Even when you call before going, they would still cancel when you get there. One of the disadvantages of this hustle in Nigeria. I don't think it's like that in USA or Canada. There should be penalty for unnecessary cancellations. Why would you tell me to come and then you cancel when I get there....after about 10 mins driving, that's pure wickedness!
useless bolt will reduce ur drivers score instead

So u are one of them grin Maryland to Banana Island 3,600.

I took a lady Lawyer and a male Accountant/Auditor yesterday to Freedom way from 7up. I got to know what they do from their conversation. They were going to seal a house purchase deal in Periwinkle Estate. Trip ended N6,600 and madam say network is bad I should drop account number. I said "sorry I can't" switched off engine. Bros too tried and it didn't work. I guess GTB had issues, but I swear that's not my business. My own is, I have rendered a service I must get my money on this spot. Gone are those days, even if na Pastor or Imam. The only reason I will leave it, is if it will not pain my if the person doesn't send the money.
I said she should try USSD, she say she doesn't do USSD. I just smiled inside of me. Oya find POS and collect cash, shebi u have atm. She say her ATM no dey work. Arghaaaa ... Na me una wan chop mugu? smiley
I just told them not to waste my time please I need to be somewhere else. When she saw I wasn't going no where, she crossed road and used POS and paid me cash.

On Saturday too, one small girl from Oregun to Marriot, GRA. Trip ended 2,200 she said I should drop account, she will send later that she is in a hurry. I say I don't do that send it now. She said transfer phone is bad, I asked her knowing u can't transfer and u don't have cash why didn't u tell me to stop in an ATM or POS so u get money u will use to pay me. I suggested I take her to an atm close by, as I move small, she started fidgeting saying she doesn't want to lose her client waiting for her. I say aunty that one no concern me o, Sha pay me. She started calling the whole world to send me money that her transfer phone is bad. Even went to ask Hotel security if they have 2k to borrow her, when she is coming out she will pay them back. Security just they laugh am. At the end I just look am say I don big pass this one. And I told her u can send it later but don't disappoint your creator. Till now my brothers she hasnt sent that money.
Like I said earlier, if it's money I can't let go, I am not leaving the client until I get my alert in my opay. grin

Recently I've forgone 1k9, 2k and 2k6 on Uber, i forgot to report for reimbursement. Depends on how politely you speak, I generally give everyone the benefit of the doubt. But if it's not on Uber I don't think I'll leave again, but I no fit fight sef and I hate being in the middle of a scene

On Bolt, I notice if u have a claim, that they have to reimburse u, they will collect their money back by not giving u Bonus as often as u usually get it.
Like if they use to give u 3k daily and u report failed payment, they will give u back d money but will cease your bonus for like 2 or 3days depending on how much they refunded to u.
So I don't even want to ask for reimbursement again because it will be at my own expense.
Although that's still better than Indrive and Rider that have zero support in that regard.

As for insisting on getting your money, is not by fight just tell them u aren't living without your money and they will get the message.

This period that everyone is trying to survive, it will be extremely hard for me let a rider go without paying me on the promise that he or she will send later.

Post subsidy removal, I've only done ehailing like 6x. On one of those days, one guy tried to scam me of 3k. Indrive ride, Kusenla to Agofure Ajah.

I gave him account to transfer to, he said done and showed me a cropped image. Just a plain white background with black letterings, he opened the door to go with his friend, told them to chill, let me confirm payment.

After like 2mins, no show, I asked which bank did he send from, he said Palmpay, I immediately knew he was lying because the screenshot he showed doesn't look anything like Palmpay. I requested to see the transaction details on the App. He acted like he was checking, he now said oh they have reversed it.

He now passed his phone to his friend at the back, that he should send 3k to the account on the shown, apparently he didn't send any money before, he probably has a mock App for faking receipts. I made sure I received alert and confirmed from my bank App before I allowed them go.

@ readadream, why are some riders like that? ,you use a service and you want to abscond.

I had a similar experience yesterday on indrive, ogba to ogudu #4,200.
About getting to destination, I asked ,"transfer or cash", she said transfer,

She was still idling away on the phone till we got there, we arrived, and she said ,that her bank network was not going, that I should drop account number, that she is already late for audition
grin, from ogba to ogudu ,you were not late, when it's time to pay,you are telling me you are late ,this lady must be a joker.
I just told her, "I will collect my money".

Long story short, after giving her hotspot,in 5mins, she found her bank network grin.

BTW, most filling stations debit you beforehand on their pos before dispensing fuel.

https://nairametrics.com/2023/06/18/gtb-doubles-salaries-of-junior-staff-to-cushion-subsidy-removal

so the least paid driver now earns N140k per month.... without working on weekends.
It would be good if uber/ bolt can give us zero commission on some days, to enhance drivers earnings...

If you're grossing less than 180,000 a week on Indriver, and you're not okay with it, I have just created a new group on telegram. You can send me a PM for the link to the group. Training starts properly on the 1st of July after which link will expire. If I have only 5 people by then, no problem.

I'll show you how to revamp your mentality and you'll rediscover yourself away from the negativity on this thread.

Pls I'm not forcing you. I'm not charging you. If this post is not for you, move on. Don't engage me.

Majority of the people are just being insensitive and another beat the hustle down attitude. Our ladies seem obvious because manipulation is ingrained in them. No disrespect as I prefer them as rider more to men. For awhile I've been fortunate on this false transfer regardless of my shortcomings, because sometimes I barely check receipt.

I post this due to a woman, she should be in her 40s I guess, but real werey. She entered the car and the next thing I hear is why is your car smelling like this. Me with straight face hmm? I decide not to say a word. She continue with her rant... that's how drivers will come with useless car, when uber was still uber. I jejely pull over and ask what she went, she have right to options before I leave her street? Because I have both air fresher and my personal perf inside the car, I have picked different people from morning till 8pm, and she is the only one to say such. Then she goes, ha! Don't I want her to complain, drivers are becoming something else, this that, once they car arrive and she doesn't feel comfortable she won't go on the trip. Next time when I arrive, it took her 10 mins to come out, I should have leave the engine running, so the ac smell would have diffused before we embark on the trip. Tor! So ac smell is ur problem, wait till it starts to rain.

We gradually slide into friendly m chat, she complained about drivers, dress mode, bad car legs and number of time she have to end trip as I try to explain about the sh*tty price to her and how she is already stressing me on a 2k trip. She too should consider the price of car. Las Las she mention how she took a ride and her transfer wasn't working. Driver won't let her go, but she force herself out and somewhat tell her gate man to sought the driver. Inside my mind I know say I don jam. Then she serve me my own breakfast. see you will give me your account, I'll transfer later, I promise. So that's how the story end sha grin

On Friday around 9pm I got a request from Kpmg 3800 going to Surulere. I drove from Olosa to PU. On getting to PU, rider cancel request. About to make my disappointment face, there she book again 2600. The painful part was me not giving her price from the 3800. So she leave "I'm coming" message.

Patiently I took my time to wait for her. She got into the car as all set to go. I ask her if she was the one that book same trip earlier. She said yes, I smile and told her, I was the one that picked the trip too. She pinned cancel by mistake on the first one. Told her no wahala, I asked because we are going to use the 3800 to determine the price and not the 2600 since its a mistake. Aunt ask, why did I pick the trip then? grin I vex finish... like are you serious? How do you put your tots together? You allow a driver to drive from where he is stationed to pick up and you cancel the trip without any sense of remorse to ask me why I pick same trip you wasted my time and resource for?

Aunt jejely reach for the door. Them no deh tell person. Saw her book another for 3600, I didn't even bother to pick.

Who else has been finding it hard to pay commission on Indrive via transfer? Since on Saturday. Reported to their support, but they are not useful. They want drivers to register their cards on their platform. No be me! I'd rather continue with Rida than register my card!
