Community policing will go a long way and addressing security challenges just as governance should start at the communal level.

I think part of the security challenges Nigeria has stems from the fact that we or say the police setup don't know who is who... someone might just move from a state to another and anonymously settle in the new town/area without security checks and start carrying out whatever business legal or illegal...

There should be a document backed by law that must be submitted to the local security/ community policing setup by property owners that must state the bio-data of their occupants/tenants that will be living on such property for say more than 3 months which must match their details on NIN or other authorized ID.

Security starts from knowing who is with you in your neighborhood and what they are up to.

State police is good to, for better security, when a people takes charge of their own security, they do a more serious job.

He has started speaking the Fulani evil language. What concerns him with community policing? Can't he think independently and properly? He wants to make what has never worked and can never work work? Is he bereft of ideas? I just hope he is not a victim of Buhari-the-failure syndrome.
We're talking about state police and local council police, but he's humping on an evil scheme set up to stop state and council policing by the fulanisation agenda government. Why do this people like to embrace evil like this? It should be state policing by each state, local council policing by each local council, and community policing by each community. Why should a federal police body do community policing for communities. Where has that ever been done in the world? Why should he end up as just a gap filler and so continue insecurity in Nigeria? Sebi this man get one certificate from abroad ni? E no see how policing is done there? Which kind bad people be these sef?

The EFCC should normally be a Unit or a Department under the federal police, but we like duplication of offices. Anything that has to do with crime should be under the police...so organizations like EFCC, FRSC, NSCDC etc. are just duplications which does not promote harmony in dealing with security issues.
