The former sounds like a letter attesting that you were taught in English during studies. It is usually issued by the office of the registra or atimes Dean of a faculty's office. Not sure but I think the latter does the same, only this time, for work.

Hi guys I stumbled in here from the UK frustrated Applicants arena😢😁

I have some few questions regarding US cos I don't know how it works yet.

1. How much do I need to present to the embassy in my statement as POF(prof of Finance). In UK it's around £9,632 per year for mainatanance + balance tuition.

2. Do US schools accept tuition installment?

3. How long does it take to get Visa appointment. I tried Poland, I hear say some people wey apply don carry belle, born, grin yet appointment never cum😂

I would appreciate a detailed response and would be very greatfull for it.

If you just finished secondary school, Your best bet is attending a session at Education USA. They will guide you and share all the available options with you including path to community college and scholarships.

This is a link to when the meeting in Lagos. They also do those sessions outside Lagos too

https://educationusa.state.gov/centers/educationusa-lagos

You have to attend their free information session first
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/educationusa-lagos-study-in-the-us-information-session-tickets-152861309291

When I was applying for my masters, I attended the session. I didn’t sign up because I finished undergrad earlier than their cut off year.

All the best

Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by BlessedABee: 7:45pm On Jun 22, 2023
If you still have a current I-20 and you are within US, you do not need a F1 visa unless you are travelling and need to re-enter the US.

Pls don’t send your passport to Nigeria because your visa date will not correspond with any of your border entry date. This will cause issues in future because one of the question you answer while submitting your request for Dropbox is that you are physically in Nigeria.

Olayinkamalik01:
Hello everyone. Please advise me

I plan to renew my US F1 visa three months to expiration as listed by the embassy to quality for a non-interview renewal. However, I’m thinking if possible I can send my passport back to Nigeria and have someone help me with Dropbox instead of physical presence. Any thoughts on this please?

Why do you need an MBA?

At the point of 80m question, you could have offered his bank statement. “Yes, I have his bank statement here if you will like to look through it and confirm the figures”. 80m is not alot of money for a successful business venture unless she thinks it is $80m

You can have payment plan with your university upon resumption.

For POF, you need the tuition for 9months (most likely your first two semesters)+ cost of living, cost of dependent (if you have any). Your required POF amount is heavily dependent on tuition which varies per school.

Getting a hotel to lodge was hectic due to NASS inauguration yesterday, as all places seemed booked out but we were able to get one after a lot of stress.

My kids and I did all the preliminary screenings, and we headed for the biometrics. Followed is the interview proper.

VO: Have you travelled out of the country before?
Me: No, I have not had any reason to.

VO: Will you be staying or visiting your husband?
Me: We will be visiting my husband who is currently doing his Phd at Texas A& M University, Department of Marine and Coastal Sciences... she cut in

VO: How long will you be staying?
Me: 4weeks, we will be spending my annual leave to reunite with my husband as a family and avail him the opportunity to meet our last baby who I gave birth to exactly 19days after he left for the States. He will be able to bond with her since this will be the first time they will be seeing each other
(meanwhile she was busy typing all through)

VO: When did you get married?
Me: We got married 7years 8months ago, 31st Oct 2015

VO: What do you do?
Me: I work as a Credit Area Manager at First City Monument Bank where I earned a monthly income of Bleep and annual income of Bleep... she cut in

VO: Can I see your marriage certificate
Me: presented it to her.

She was silent, busy typing...
Me: Can I tell you my job roles?
VO: No
VO: How long have you been working at your place of work?
Me: Over 5years

VO: How long is your husband's program?
Me: 5 years, he just rounded off a year and has 4years left.

VO: Who will be funding your deficits?
Me: My husband and I will be covering the deficits from our savings and returns from our landed properties in Lagos and Abeokuta which generate an annual income of Bleep for the family. Since my husband is fully funded, we have a savings set aside for the purpose.

She went mute again, but this time passes the white paper to me.

I said thank you, and as we walked out of the hall, my boys were making drama exclaiming "yes, yes, we are going to see our Daddy" to the admiration of people around.

I want to thank y'all, @assurance the mock group, Tboy, Dr Dammy, Olanrewaju Ayoade and VO Coker. May God bless you all.

To all expecting their turns, pls remain confident and be prayerful.

*God did it.*

Thank you I also went for their general orientation yesterday and they did a general talk about the whole process but they didn't give enough details on the visa interview. Because I already gained admission and was previously denied I was hoping I could get a one on one conversation with the advisor but they were only attending to people who we're not planning to get admitted this year. If there is any way you could help me with it I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Wow. a few things:
how old are you?

the VO thinks that pharmacy and chemistry aren't closely linked. Here's how you could have responded:
"Yes, my college bachelor's degree was in pharmaco-chemistry" or some shit like that. Always know what the VO wants to hear and try as much as you can to give him that. That question is to show if what you studied, or currently do is linked to what you're going to study. Every question counts.

Also, seems you were already answering the 'what will you do after your studies' question, and the VO thinks you were trying to be disingenuous with your answers. Answer what is being asked, or closely. Don't answer unrelated questions, or at least answer the main questions without a doubt and see that the VO is nodding before moving on to your own agenda.

This question is to ascertain the economic status of your sponsor. You're supposed to use recognizable words like:
My sister, she and her husband (if she's married) are Cofounders of Bleep Company, a logistics tier-2 company based in Aba, with headquaters in X. Upsell your sponsor to improve your chances. $10k is not much money, this question was just the last straw.

"Yes, if you mean sponsoring part of my college education" shows that your sister has always been involved in sponsoring you in some way (especially if she's 10 years older) eg pocket money. If you answer Yes, then demonstrate that it has always been the little things, and this master's education is the apex of all when she'll finally stop sponsoring. Don't say all of this, of course, but you get the point. Say something that hints that your dear sister and her husband has been involved in your career progress.

the question isn't really a big deal and I can see why you immediately answered "No." which is equally a good answer but depends on what you follow with it. How would you even know if she has sponsored anybody before? Not sure if this question is really a thing. Maybe you should verify with your sister if she has, the visa officers might keep a record, who knows?

My advice is, you should try again soon. And prepare harder. Get every possible question and get the appropriate answers. Remember, it isn't about how truthful you can answer, it's about what they want to hear (truthful of course). If you have a deep Nigerian accent, then you want to keep your answers short, sweet, and to the point.

Get someone to look at your DS160 form, most disqualifications result from what is entered into that file. Usually, the VO makes up their mind before you even open your mouth. Make sure you have enough social and family ties back home. really important
hello, please how can I contact you ?
