Nbv1: The person you quoted is also in Canada, so her opinion is very valid. I think the reason why IRCC asks applicants to show POF is for issues like this, so it is incumbent for anyone applying to have the funds to take care of themselves when they get there. However, no matter how bad Canada is, it is better than 9ja. I know about 13 families that have left for Canada from former colleagues and clients, no one, not one of them has regretted migrating to Canada. No one expects Canada to be a bed of Roses but it is way better than the struggle most people face in 9ja. I fully align with Madam Chi's post. Please if you have the means go to Canada!!!!!!! 17 Likes |

Chiziteremary: Nbv1: I wouldn't have put my mouth in this if not for the purpose of people who may be willing to immigrate, study or work in Canada but haven't found a way. @Nbv1 While I understand your perspective, kindly allow me to show you how you could have conveyed your message more constructively. I think the first three lines of your post sounds uncomfortable. Also, you are correct in saying people should travel to Canada with a lot of money. @Chiziteremary I understand your perspective too. You may want to omit "...don't listen to any negative..." Although it does not sound discomforting. It is a word of encouragement. I do not judge anyone. Both of you are correct in your opinion. My perspective. While it may be expensive to live in some part of Canada, I think it is not wrong to say Canada is worth trying to immigrate to, work in or study in. Toronto is just a small part of Ontario. Bills may be expensive in Toronto but not the same in St Thomas, Woodstock, Sarnia, London etc. These places are in Ontario. Even some people are running away from Ontario because they say it is cheaper to live in other provinces and still get the same thing or more than you can get in Ontario. Let us talk about Nova Scotia, Halifax per sé, the same 2 bed apartment you pay $2500 - $3000 for in Toronto costs just $1000 - $2000 in Halifax. Even, it's $1000 - $1300 in some small cities in Ontario. Meanwhile Halifax has a population of close to 920,000. This is a big city. Not everyone wants to live in Toronto. It is known that Toronto and Vancouver are expensive and can be compared to New York. You can get in Calgary what you can get in Toronto. Calgary has a population of close to 2m. Life is not as hard in Calgary. Meanwhile, you don't need to live in a 2 bed if you just need to live in a 1 bed, you can even rent a 1 room and jettison 1 bed. It all depends on your lifestyle. Let us do some analysis here. Wage: Minimum wage in Ontario is $16/hour. Minimum wage in Alberta is $15/hour. Rent: Rent in Ontario (Toronto) for example 2 bed $2500 (the price may be higher). 1 room in a shared apartment is $1200+ Rent in Alberta (Calgary) for example 2 bed $1700 (the price may be lower or higher). 1 room in a shared apartment is $700+ Population: Toronto: 6.3m. Calgary: 2m. Let us choose, where would you like to live with just those simple data? Many people are home owners in Regina, Calgary, St John's, Oromocto, London etc yet the same wealth would not buy a home in GTA. You choose the kind of life you want to live. Also, I would accept a job that pays $30/hr in St Thomas, Ontario instead of a job that pays 35/hr in Toronto, Ontario. One fact to note, Toronto, Vancouver and other big cities are not for people earning minimum wage. People should get that fact. If you are earning $30/hr, why would you find it difficult to live in Toronto? What kind of life are you living? You will enjoy Toronto without being stupidly rich if you can take care of your rent. The truth is one can earn more and live a more comfortable life in Ogun State than in Lagos or Abuja. This is a practical fact and not an assumption. I hope my analysis and analogies are clear enough to understand. 23 Likes |

Hi Biola, Yes i am in Canada, this platform played a major role in my journey. The fact that people dont have jobs doesnt mean that everyone's destiny is the same. I got a job that pays all my bills about 2 months after i came in. Well i'm in Ontario but not in Toronto, i hear Toronto is one the most expensive places to live. No matter how you look at it, prospects are much more here than back home. I mean for anyone who really wants to relocate. Even people that relocate with PR face challenges but overall, i will neva discourage anyone from coming to Canada. Yes, come with as much money as you can because settling down initailly isnt easy but others have done it. Most importantly, i believe so much in the God factor. If God is with you on this relocation journey, you will never be stranded. Did u really expect me to tell people, don't come o, here is hard. Hmmm. I cant say that o. Nbv1: 5 Likes |

Hi madam; you misspelt your name on the application form, hence the incorrect spelling. The VFS biometric appointment letter is not linked to the IRCC form, so it displayed the correct name. Using email and webform, provide a detailed explanation and attach the following; a new completed IMM 1294 (if you used the Gckey account) Data page of passport Birth cert Don’t forget to use ‘URGENT’ in the subject line or first line. Also, provide the following information: Surname Given names - exactly as they are written on the passport Date of birth Application Number UCI Country of birth Country of residence Type of application International passport number Passport issue date Passport expiry date Current address Telephone number Email address Date of submission It should be corrected within 2-3 weeks Fademi011: 3 Likes |

Chiziteremary: 8 week. But 8 -10 weeks is what the SOP stipulates. The sputum culture was negative. Because idea of a second X ray is just to confirm the negative sputum. Tthere will have been no need for a final confirmatory x ray (2nd Xray) if there was growth. She did one on the day of the medical as expected and the 2nd 30days after sputum. But on that day she did it twice as the initial one was not clear. The clinic will not give any result, I had the contact of a staff , that I was calling for update. All thing being equal the medical will be updated soon. Some systems/staff are just more efficient than others |

Sisib15: Hi, please was your application submitted by an agent? Did you send the statement via MBS or it was printed? You can send MBS now, let the statement be updated and then a reference letter from your bank and submit the ticket, reference letter and letter of explanation (explaining the ownership of the account and the steps you have taken to authenticate the statement) on your portal. 1 Like |
