Maybe but I don’t think Putin is so dumb not to have made contingency plans for that eventuality. He has many ways of calling them back to order. From cutting off their funds and supplies etc.

Jesus/Christ was literally betrayed by his disciple, knew he was going to die because of it and still forgave him.
