Which Should I Go For!? by Ezendimmuo: 8:04am On Jun 25, 2023 |
Good morning guys I finished my NYSC in February this year.. Since then I have been job hunting... I got an unpaid remote backend internship role with a company, with the assurance that they'll pay stipends after some time.. I also got a slot in an oil company... The role is that of a petroleum surveyor/inspector.. I get to board ships or go to jettys and measure crude oil products on board and stuff like that... I am still in the training stage though. The problem is that I can't go into both of them fully simultaneously... I am really confused about this.. Any advice from the bosses in the house will be appreciated! 7 Likes |

OP the right choice should be determined by your character. If you are a persistent, if you are and enduring type of fellow, if you are committed, if you never give up. Then go for the remote backend job. The possibility and rewards are usually 5 times higher than whatever oil company can pay you. But, if you are a more conservative person, easily distracted, can't sustain lifetime learning, if you can do more physical jobs, if you like following rules, if you love flexing and quiet life, then go for the oil company job. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Go for the oil job, you will need money to pay bills. Whatever you have in your savings will continue to reduce as you don't know when the remote job will pay and if they will pay Also the oil job will look good on your CV What did you study if I may ask . |

This your thread is amusing. Like, are you genuinely confused as to which of the job offers to stick with, or are you just seeking to be noticed?! You have a remote backend job that isn't paying yet and a job offer from an oil company that involves offshore duties and you're here asking us questions? I swear, some of you Nigerians can be deliberately provocative. Oya, reject both and go teach in a secondary school. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

Ezendimmuo:Show off… “After some time” means the time frame ain’t stipulated. “Stipends” also means the salary ain’t fixed but just small amounts to compensate your efforts. I assume on the other hand… although you didn’t state explicitly- that the oil company pays you salary even though you still undergoing training. Although you didn’t state your educational background… that’s the specific field you graduated - so I assume that’s not also important to you. So I would say your answer is on your question. That’s why I called you show off cos it seems you just want to let us know you have 2 jobs waiting at same time. Show off…! 5 Likes |
