Please help!!

we received our notice of immigrant visa creation since April 2021 for F4 category, after login in this is what we found in the summary information;

Due to the numerical limitations on immigrant visa issuance prescribed by law, this petition is not eligible for further processing at this time. The National Visa Center (NVC) will retain the petition until an immigrant visa becomes available. The NVC will notify the petitioner, principal applicant, or attorney of record when this petition is eligible for further processing. The principal applicant should not make any firm plans such as disposing of property, giving up jobs, or making travel arrangements at this time.

This wait has passed 2 years, I don't know if anyone has had this type of experience, how did you go about it ? I'm really tired of waiting.

You need to wait some more. It's a privilege not a right (you no fit off shirt fight them as we all for like to). We all know they got everything twisted, they know best how to settle the backlog causing these delays. All the best!

They are scheduling interviews for folks of PD of APR 2007. I don't even know if the documentarily qualified status matters any more. Add 16 or 20 yrs to your PD..

Please oladeep what are the document you submitted then during your processing cos the portal has been opened for me to submit document...

Oladeep:
We are in the same ship. I'm an intending immigrant too (F4 category). I have already submitted my documents to NVC and I'm waiting to get a case complete too. All what u need to know is written in their site (travel.state.gov). It will take NVC 2months or 11 weeks max for them to review your documents and determine if u would get a case complete or a checklist for additional documents/correction. However, u indicated u submitted your documents by end of June, so u should get a case complete this month end or mid September max. Lastly, hope ur priority date is current? cos u can't be schedule for an interview till ur PD is current and moreover, F1 and F4 category had a retrogression on the recently released visa bulletin for the month of September hopefully, it should return to normalcy by the beginning of a new fiscal year next month.

Please I need to ask. For the DHL/Shipping. Where do I register for shipping? Should I go to a DHL office?
I’m yet to have my IR2 interview and I’ve done all the necessary things except the shipping process.

PLEASE, FOR THOSE THAT HAS BEEN DQD AND FALLS WITHIN F1(SONS AND DAUGHTERS, 21years older OF A USC) CATEGORY , Please what are the civil documents you submitted? I just need a list of what was submitted, from those that has been DQD .... Cos I don't want any delay on that anymore...... Thank you.
Re: At The NVC Processing Stage Of The U. S Family Based Preference Category. by lily156: 3:50pm On Jul 31, 2023
The list of documents you need should be on the portal. Why do you need other people to tell you what to submit?

Login to your account and follow the instructions. If you need clarity on certain things like what type of birth certificate is accepted for Nigerians, then you can ask here.

But why ask people to give you a list. If I give you a list from 2017 and it has changed nko?

Good evening. Pls, Does being DQed stop me from getting visa to run a program in US. Have u seen anyone that got student visa with pending application ? And if they refuse the visa, will it have any effect on my pending application? Thanks
Re: At The NVC Processing Stage Of The U. S Family Based Preference Category. by lily156: 12:06am On Aug 01, 2023
You're unlikely to get the visa o but you can try anyways.
And to answer your last question, a refusal of a student visa has no effect on your immigrant case. As long as the information you provide is the same. Eg don't say you're married for student visa and then say you're not married for your IV.

Does anyone know how long it takes the embassy to schedule an interview for IR5?
Case was documentary qualified in April of this year. Priority date was Oct 2022 and status is showing "At NVC".
Thanks in advance.
Re: At The NVC Processing Stage Of The U. S Family Based Preference Category. by lily156: 7:36pm On Aug 17, 2023
IR5 is immediate relative and is currently taking about 1 year after DQ for interview letter in Nigeria.

At the moment, exactly 1 year. Meaning those DQ'd August 2022 IR categories received their IL this month.

Hello all, I have been hearing news about people transferring their case from Nigeria to countries like Serria leone, Cotonou and are all getting IL within 2-3 months or less. Does anyone have a legit source or contact that can help in doing this or is it something one can do without some help, if yes, please help in how to go about it.

I’m also hearing of the need of having a stay in the country you’re transferring it to, meanwhile, some said it’s not compulsory. Nairaland family please help… the wait is draining. F1 category.

Have you resolved the marriage issue? Regarding transfer, I would suggest waiting till after the start of the new fiscal year on October 1.
They added new staff members at the Lagos consulate in June so it seems they're working faster. Also, I know that F1 DQ early June 2020 received IL in July 2023 so you're almost there.
What's the exact date of your DQ in June 2020?
It's quite possible that you will get an IL in October.
I'll suggest trying an expedite even right now in Sept. You can email me and I can tell you what has worked in the past for F11. It's a long shot but you never know.
If no progress by mid-Oct, your best bet is a writ of mandamus. Before filing the writ, you can send a notification to file a writ of mandamus. Trust me, a WOM always works. It's usually done with a lawyer but you can also DIY. If it gets to that stage, you can email me and I can give you some pointers.
Transferring has to be done logically as not all embassies prioritize F categories. Most of those that transferred and got IL within 2-3 months are CR/IR categories.
Cameroon hasn't given IL to F categories since February. Cotonou has but they're very strict with transfer cases. Unlike Cameroon where you can just get their residence permit only, Cotonou embassy officials have been known to ask for apartment lease etc at the interview. Still, there are ways around it.

Thank you so much for your response.

I have now resolved the marriage issue. I was able to call my contact to cancel it since I’ve never used it. They deleted from the system and destroyed their own hard copy.

I got DQ on the 26th of June 2020.

I will email you.
