Never in the history of any reputable ranking , as any tanzania university have been rated above Ghana. With the current of Times higher ranking ( UOC in Ghana) has it better than any east africa country . It is rated as the fourth best african university and best in west africa .

I've never heard of Rongo university. Embu university is a tiny university in Kenya. That list should be scrutinized. There is no way UON, KU, JKUAT, strathmore, egertone could be ranked lower to those.

Rugby, Cricket, Auto racing etc are all popular sports in SA so to the South African those are popular sports but in the Ghanaian perspective, apart from football all other sports are called leser known sports because those are neglected sports.

We can conclude that Ghana sports industry is not diverse. Maybe because of mismanagement, lack of financial muscles to sponsor them, or we can basically say there is no player competent enough.

what is so special about your polytechic? Even here in Tz,we have a lot of those technical colleges which were converted into technical university. Not a big deal.

The reason why Muhimbili university wasn't featured in the past is just the university didn't want to participate in the rankings,they have just participated in the last few years.
But all in all,there us nothing special about Ghanaian universities, or any other sub saharan universities except may be some few SA universities

For me,
The rankings were spot on.
In TZ,university of Dar es salaam have always been ranked first in the country,but from last year,I have seen MUHAS coming on top which i wholly agree especially when u look at how these universities are being managed. In TZ, university of Dar is badly managed,and it cannot and shouldn't be on top,and surely,am happy seeing it ranked lower.
