helinues: You're not their spokesman. Yes they promised to remove subsidy by I know some won't remove it in this manner. People like obi, Osibanjo have compassion for the poor. Even atiku to an extent has compassion for the poor but Tinubu only cares for his circle. |

helinues:Tinubu is the president now, what are the mechanisms he intend to use to cushion the effect. Making a repetitive statement that the other candidates also will remove the subsidy is stale and no longer what the populace want to hear. |

Usmanovic95: NLC and TUC would have gone on strike had President Tinubu not shared his measure to curb the effects of subsidy removal. He met with stakeholders and as well as business people. Subsidy has also been removed from some government agencies. We can save money on those and use it to cushion the effects |

This is Tinubu statement today about that. Make una calm down. Palliative will soon start coming in terms of salary increase for civil servants and low interest loans for MSME. They are considering some other means too for the lower end of the society. Even if petrol price reach 1million, Tinubu must not back out of this subsidy remival. If they continue subsidy, it will get to a stage in the future where we won’t be able to even pay FG salaries coz even lenders would have got tired of granting loans to Nigeria. That’s when all these guys talking will now see real shege.

LegendHero: Imagine borrowing loans to pay for fuel subsidy which almost half of it must have been diverted before getting back to Nigeria. Nigeria removed subsidy, but na our neighboring countries dey feel am pass. 1 Like |

Nothing here, tinubu just trying to recover his money spent on election and also make enough retirement gain for his family, all at the expense of the citizens misery. |
