2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup: We’re not prepared – Super Falcons Coach

The head coach of the Super Falcons of Nigeria, Randy Waldrum, has said his team is not adequately prepared for next month’s FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Waldrum decried the lack of support from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) while appearing on The Sounding Off Of Soccer podcast, hosted by John Krysinsky.

He said: “I know we are not prepared the way we need to be. [I’ve] been very frustrated with the federation (NFF) and the lack of support.

“We were supposed to have a camp for 10-12 days in Nigeria before going to Australia for another 10-15 days, but the federation cancelled the camp in Nigeria.”

What has race got to do with his post?

Firstly I do not know why anyone would appoint a Mr. Randy to handle a female team.

The Randy guy has been the coach for years now and he still doesn't have a team, still not prepared.


This Randy has just been a disaster, he actually finished a distant fourth at AWCON and Nigeria actually wouldnt even have qualified for the world cup if not that FIFA increased the number of African reps to 4 for the first time.


Having said, this Randy is Falcon's worst coach ever and ought to have been sacked a long time ago!

Looks obvious this World Cup is again going to be a nightmare for Nigeria, but after the nightmare is over, the best option for Super Falcons going into the future is a competent Nigerian coach!
