It will be better you don’t spread fake information. My friend did and the remaining ihs was transferred to the application. Another one did his own and they didn’t transfer. However he called them and the remaining money was refunded.

Thanks for sharing this!

I just called UKVI and the person I spoke to said the same thing.

You have the make the full IHS payment to cover the period you're applying for, but they will automatically refund the unused period of the previous overlapping visa.
It's still not clearly stated on the website (I prefer to have evidence in black and white) but it's safe to conclude this is the way it is.

I didn't know this was possible, and it's a great relief.

Seriously? What will the job title do for you?

Will you begin to pursue roles in that field because someone got a job in it?

Some might say that mindset is what what leads to a concentration of our people in some particular lines of work when there are others.

Or will you take the lessons and apply them to your own field regardless of what it is?

Absolutely nothing to all your questions. BUT what will sharing do to the individual? Will people take their job because they share?

I was lost in my career when I migrated from Nigeria, someone shared their job info on this platform, the person did not only shared all the details but sent their personal info which helped to get a higher position that field even higher than theirs.

Another person shared their full details on another thread, the person even referred my spouse for a six figure job in canada.

When I was leaving the UK, the person took my place immediately as they were available to relocate to another part of UK .
Some of us have old uncles that hid infos of how they relocated years and years back, today there are thousands of places to get loans to travel out.

Have you checked @Ticha posts? Have you talked personally with baba lexus?

If you can't answer a question because its too personal, you can ignore the post. Don't mock the person. lipsrsealed

Well, everyone is not the same. Peace.

Good evening,
I need dire assistance regarding what address should be shown in a court affidavit done in Nigeria for a forthcoming passport renewal/name change due to marriage (passport renewal to be done here in london very soon).
Should the said affidavit have my Nigerian address or my current UK residence?
Please help!

You don’t need an affidavit. I just did mine a few weeks back. Just your marriage certificate is enough. Go change your name first in your NIN then u will use it plus your marriage certificate to apply for passport renewal.

You're getting this wrong. Sharing the job title may help someone out there rediscover that they bar on their capabilities can actually go higher. For instance, a lot of Nigerians who are pre-qualified before arriving here were initially applying for £20k - £25k jobs until most discovered that applying to £40k upwards etc is actually the best for them. There's no harm in sharing really. The person came here to solicit for help, I see no reason why they can't share things like that to motivate others, but hey each to their own.

Fair enough.
I still believe people should be left to disclose as much or as little as they want. You can take the lessons in what is said and piece things together from different people. I felt he gave enough insight into his application process far more valuable than the specific job title could have been.

There are a multitude of reasons why a person might not want to share their job role or any other thing.

Ultimately, I acknowledge you and Airbay's points, though I still disagree.

cheesy ...you see, s/he didn't need to give full specifications like Senior AI/ML Software Engineer at Company Name ...rather it can be a Senior role as a software engineer (with my 5 years experience in Nigeria) in an FMCG or Health or Financial services company ...that's all most here would love to read or hear from successes like this.

Why I would always love the Tier 4 Visa application thread, almost everyone who got their visa approved, returned back with details of what they did, when they went for their interview ...some with the questions they were asked, how they went about other stuff related to the application, the fasting and prayer sessions ....EVERYTHING they did along the way was shared discretely.

I chose my current school (MMU - before you ask me cheesy) because of similar feedback, all of this is to help others move along. People are getting depressed and if out the abundance of your heart you could share anything or ideas to help people out ...please do with as much information as possible discretely. Give people hope they can also do it. No one is saying tell us the job title plus your employer or your remuneration...no.

Anonymity, of which there are a multitude of reasons someone might want that. That's the point.

The more information markers that are tied to your profile on any social media platform, the easier it is to identify you. It is an anonymous forum after all, and people always have different tolerances.

After all the last time we had a discussion adjacent to this issue, you said that people should have no problem stating their companies/employers, yet when I asked you to kick things off by telling us your own you did not and have not done so months after.

As I said, different tolerances..

I have a couple of questions regarding the necessary requirements for riding this Electric Scooter. Firstly, do I need a license and a number plate toride this scooter? Secondly, I'm curious if it is permissible to ride this Electric Scooter on the highway. I would greatly appreciate any information you can provide on these matters.

Good evening elders, goodevening @lexusgs430
Please I need advise. I I recently just got my new brp for the PSW visa. Before now, I was working with my student Visa and it happened that during that time I applied to care and support agency, and they responded that they do not accept students. I explained that I was already done with my school and they asked me to give them an evidence, I collected a letter from student support stating I was no more restricted by the 20hrs.

Only for me to start work and then a certain week, I did 40hrs for the agency and they paid me for only 20hrs. I called and they said it is because of the restriction on the hours. I explained I already submitted a letter from the school an they apologised that they will pay.

Two weeks later I received an amount from transferwise smaller than the amount owed normally they pay comes from "wepay(the company handling their payroll). My mind told me they were the one, when I called they said they were the one. I asked the reason paying me this amount through a private account of an employee and he said I was paid off NI. I told me my money was not complete and he said that is the amount cos it is off NI. I explained to him that I already submitted evidence removing the 20hrs restriction. He said they also removed uniform money. I asked him to send me a payslip showing the deduction that I dont mind but send me a payslip. I reported the matter to the manager but apparently they all together and people i have spoken to said that agency is known for doing that. That they keep passing you around till you get tired.

Please what is the right way of demanding for my payslip? I have never worked more than 20hrs in any week during school term. I just want an evidence for monies deducted. Please how do I go about this/

The refund should automatically be processed. However, sometimes the automatic refund process does not work. I went through a similar process recently and did not get automatically refunded so I sent an email to (TransactionalServicesCorrespondence@homeoffice.gov.uk) and (ukvinhsteam@homeoffice.gov.uk) requesting for the refund. I provided the following details for both payments:
• Name:
• Date of IHS payment:
• Visa Duration:
• Amount:
• IHS reference number:
• Visa type:

Following my email, they processed my request a week later and replied to my email to let me know.

Note that the HIS Refund will be paid to the card that you used to pay for the initial IHS (not the second one). Also they only refund in blocks of 6 full months overlapping from your initial IHS payment period.
