No. Simply put. She doesn't believe in my dreams and aspirations and she doesn't support it one bit.

-Be a man, go and find yourself a supportive wife. You only have ONE life to live, and when it's time to exit you will exit alone too.

-I tell young men; if you're an armed-robber it's a total waste of time marrying a woman who doesn't support armed-robbery.

If You Knew What You Know Now, Would You Marry Your Spouse?
I saw this question on Facebook and I was dumbfounded by the replies.

Over to Nairalanders, let's also have your view on this

I know nothing new about her after 12 years of marriage. Married her a virgin, very supportive too. And we're conquering

Again and again without batting an eyelid abeg! If I travel back in time na she I go still look for abeg! Ah this woman is a blessing to me!

P.S: I think this thread is testament to the fact that there are working and happy marriages not all the gloom nd doom stories about marriages that only seem to abound out there!

Yes.
I am lucky to have her as my wife. We have achieved a lot together with her support within 11years.

But if this question was in my first one to two years on marriage, I would have answered no.

My advice to younger folks in here, no perfect marriage, marriage is not a bed of roses, always know that the first three years of marriage is not always easy.

Slay Queen that year.

Hottest girl around the hood.

Not teasing you, just wondering why you didn’t get the slightest idea of what you’re seeing now.

Anyways, God heal your home… 🙏🤲😥

Even if you raised your nose now and said you wouldn't have married your spouse, let me tell you, you might not have been happier with another person. Forget all the trash being peddled around about marriage, embrace the gift of God for you, do the needful, and you will be happy always.
Good riddance to bad rubbish!

Don't mind them. Some will be shouting yes, yes just to save face but deep down, it is not what they're claiming .

I pray for marriages to experience heaven on earth.

You're right. Two people with different backgrounds and upbringing coming together to live together 24/7, e go choke. Couples need time to synch.

Wunmi this was a straightforward question requiring a yes or no answer. Then if you want to elaborate or expand on your answer with an explanation or reasons, you do so.

This is the problem I have with majority of you married folks. When you are asked valid questions about marriage that can teach others a valuable lesson or help them make an informed decision, you go off on a tangent or lecture about, how, no marriage is perfect, every marriage has its issue, marriage is not for people who cannot tolerate or forgive..........yada, yada, yada.

Can you people not answer questions candidly without the sugar coating, deflection and philosophical answers? Will it kill you people to respond to questions with specific and logical answers? Or share hard truths and realities without dancing round issues pertaining to marriage?
Then you should know the answer already.
Marriage is a personal decision no be everybody go marry
