Screeding doesn't really prevent dampness as such. There are waterproof materials that prevent dampness. However, you can still use black cement with cement additive to screed, it will help a little.

No they don’t.

You will have to settle them ooo where u dey when there where buying street light, pole, cable and transformer.....u ought to have quickly pay it when it was 150k so far u haven't pay it u will pay the incremental......Go and see the community chairman. U are to pay just 250k even if 100 house are in ur compound.......

I was told we’ll pay 250k(recently increased from 150k) to connect to the national grid.
Now, Mr Chairman has decided to flex his muscles by telling us that we will have to pay 750k because we have 3 buildings on the property. And these folks do anything they want as far as connecting to their community grid is concerned. They disconnect people when they so wish.

Are you sure he's a professional?
He should be the one advising you on the height of your foundation from the onset and not vice versa.
