Major UK employers who sponsor work visas often start hiring candidates one year in advance. As some companies have started their 2024 recruitment season, we have created this essential guide for students and graduates in and outside the UK to help them better prepare for their job applicants.
 

Key information:

Employment Start Dates: 
There will be January, Spring(March/April), Autumn(September/August) and December start dates in 2024. Most companies will only have Autumn start dates.
 
Recruitment Start Dates:
For those 2024 employment start dates, employers start hiring from June 2023 onwards. Some companies have already started hiring for 2024. In order to apply, type "2024" in the search box here.
 
Eligibility:
For graduate programmes, students and graduates who have already graduated or will be graduating before the start date of the programme will be eligible to apply. For example, if you are applying for a graduate job that starts on 25 September 2024, you must have completed your courses before 25 September 2024.
 
For off-cycle internships, recent graduates or students who are in the university but want to have a gap year are eligible to apply. It is important to note that many off-cycle internships do not accept applicants based outside the UK.
 
For internships and placements, you often need to be in the penultimate of your university in the UK. It is important to check the requirements on the job description.
 
When to Apply:
You should start applying for jobs as soon as they become available to avoid disappointments. You do not have to be in the UK to apply for many jobs. For example, if you are coming to the UK to do a master's degree in September, you can start applying for jobs without starting your course.
 
Some investment banks, professional services firms and engineering companies have started hiring for 2024 entries.

Why I would always love the Tier 4 Visa application thread, almost everyone who got their visa approved, returned back with details of what they did, when they went for their interview ...some with the questions they were asked, how they went about other stuff related to the application, the fasting and prayer sessions ....EVERYTHING they did along the way was shared discretely.

I chose my current school (MMU - before you ask me ) because of similar feedback, all of this is to help others move along. People are getting depressed and if out the abundance of your heart you could share anything or ideas to help people out ...please do with as much information as possible discretely. Give people hope they can also do it. No one is saying tell us the job title plus your employer or your remuneration...no.

I just called UKVI and the person I spoke to said the same thing.

You have the make the full IHS payment to cover the period you're applying for, but they will automatically refund the unused period of the previous overlapping visa.
It's still not clearly stated on the website (I prefer to have evidence in black and white) but it's safe to conclude this is the way it is.

I didn't know this was possible, and it's a great relief.

Please I need advise. I I recently just got my new brp for the PSW visa. Before now, I was working with my student Visa and it happened that during that time I applied to care and support agency, and they responded that they do not accept students. I explained that I was already done with my school and they asked me to give them an evidence, I collected a letter from student support stating I was no more restricted by the 20hrs.

Only for me to start work and then a certain week, I did 40hrs for the agency and they paid me for only 20hrs. I called and they said it is because of the restriction on the hours. I explained I already submitted a letter from the school an they apologised that they will pay.

Two weeks later I received an amount from transferwise smaller than the amount owed normally they pay comes from "wepay(the company handling their payroll). My mind told me they were the one, when I called they said they were the one. I asked the reason paying me this amount through a private account of an employee and he said I was paid off NI. I told me my money was not complete and he said that is the amount cos it is off NI. I explained to him that I already submitted evidence removing the 20hrs restriction. He said they also removed uniform money. I asked him to send me a payslip showing the deduction that I dont mind but send me a payslip. I reported the matter to the manager but apparently they all together and people i have spoken to said that agency is known for doing that. That they keep passing you around till you get tired.

Please what is the right way of demanding for my payslip? I have never worked more than 20hrs in any week during school term. I just want an evidence for monies deducted. Please how do I go about this/

First, are you sure this is a scooter? It seems very much like a motorcycle to me.

Anyway, one way you can find out all you need is search the make/model on Google and there'll typically be forums where owners discuss operating it and similar ones.

Natwest is great. All you do is one person opens an account and then invites the other to join.

They'll send you both cards and you'll both have the account visible and operable from within your Natwest app.

The bank and app themselves are great as well. App will even show you your credit score, and their customer service is responsive as well.

10/10 would recommend.

How long does it take for the employer to assign one a COS after you might have accepted a job offer?

I did my interview January 13th and they got back to me on 19th that I was successful and went mute.. then they came again by May for my documentation and June for my background checks.

Also Is there any problem using a UK address or another address in my ECCTIS while I am still in Nigeria and the electronic copy has been issued. Or should I changed it? I used the address of my friend that help me pay in the UK

Fam I don't know anything about ECCTIS tbh but I would generally say it's best to continue using the same address as you've already submitted.

On COS it takes an hour or so to issue based on my experience, via the employers visa portal itself, but that's separate from all the internal HR processes which differ among organisations. Sounds to me like your employers are still going through that process so I'd say be patient and just prompt them in a week+ if they haven't followed up.
