Parachoco: Pls why have the prices of diesel and kerosene not fallen all this while? Can you pls explain how fuel was being smuggled out of Nigeria when it was being "subsidised"? How are "we seeing the true litre of fuel we are consuming a day"? What is the "true litre of fuel we are consuming a day"? |
Re: Petrol Price Crashes At Depots Amid Low Demand by maasoap(m): 10:05pm On Jul 01, 2023 |
Parachoco: Petrol might be smuggled out of Nigeria. Petrol subsidy fraud might be involved before. But the truth is that many private car owners couldn't afford petrol of N500 per litre, hence cars parked for now. |

The major oil marketers of Nigeria recently said consumption of PMS has reduced by 20% from 66 million litre/day to just over 40 ml/d. I thought they said that the consumption reduced because petrol is no longer being smuggled out of the country and no more subsidy fraud claims. Which claim now is increased rates is responsible for decreased consumption? |

Parachoco:They were but it's a mad rush now. You are not in that system so you won't know. For the record, I'm for subsidy removal but a gradual phase out is what I'm for. Give or take, 1 yr and Nigerians are weaned off subsidy. |

StarRiderr: Good things don't come easy. It's like a fat dude going to the gym to lose weight. In the first few weeks he feels body pains all over and life seams to be hard but after months of consistency, the results become visible and he's excited he went through the hardship in the first place. Macroeconomic policies take time to yield results. The tilt of an Aeroplane by 1° will have a significant impact on its final destination but to those in the plane the impact isn't visible until the destination is reached. Relax. This time around, things will be fine. |

They call this crash. I think the blogger should go back and read English. A slight drop in price cannot be regarded as a crash in price. Maybe, the blogger just wants to trend. |

A hateful individual will use hate to refer to other people as children of hate because they hate to join him in hating the good things of life. When anybody say, children of hate, it immediately display him or her as lacking in intellect, because the statement is commonplace, hackneyed, worn-out, and terribly overused cliche. |
Re: Petrol Price Crashes At Depots Amid Low Demand by Kukutenla: 11:38pm On Jul 01, 2023 |
Parachoco:This retort of yours is bereft of the most basic intelligence. Can you tell me the causative factor for the "drop" in depot price according to the article? If NNPC who solely imported the stock being reported by the article still maintained its depot price at 479 while the other depots dropped from 500 to 496, is that a reasonable price movement or purely artificially induced? You're being ripped off by greedy marketers and you're rejoicing that you're being given "change" on the rip off Shame! |

Parachoco: The National Vice President said: “Nobody has imported petrol since the removal of subsidy even NNPC did not import. This shows you did not even read the op before you went on a foolish spree of nonsense writeups about your wish to suffer. No one cares about your addiction to suffering as long as its from your slave masters. Just don't drag others along with you in your house nigger role. |

Ogunleti01:It cannot be. If it be so, it's a cause for worry because it signals a fall in standard of living due to less disposable income. Personally, I fear what will become of Nigerians of this trend continues. I know if families who have had to let go of some savings just to meet up with the new prices induced by this fuel. It's not a good thing as some of these savings would have been used for opening businesses to improve the family's finances but are now being used to survive |

That is the orientation Nigerians need...the are cases u don't necessarily take ur motor out. The supply of electricity is now fairer I beg stop disturbing us with ur generator noise. If u have two family cars, sell the other and let u and ur wife use only one, any occasions she plans going u can jointly go and use a single car. |

Untill Nigerians understamd say beign a President no be Home Economics. Peter don brain wash una say things go just automatically go smooth as soon as em enter. As dem don dey refer am as Messiah, em won perform miracle like Jesus. Dey play. Just One month, i personally know say dis President sabi wetin em dey do. But those wey no understand anything abt government, go start to dey form expert. Why people fear Jagaban is because hes the real politician, no one come close. Tareq1105:Your claim is illogical Google the number of cars in Nigeria and compare with our neighbours. Multiply it by three at least to get the number of bikes and multiply that by 2 to get the number of gens. With that, you will know it's practically impossible for us to use less than 50m litres per day and for neighbours to use up to half of our consumption combined. Besides that, if NNPC claims to release 60m per day, and you say we use less than 25m, that will imply 35m of fuel leaves our borders everyday. Now at 50000 litres capacity, calculate the number of tankers that will cross our borders to neighbouring countries per day and imagine if that's possible |

ebenholer2: Maybe because you're been subsidised or spoon-fed is the reason why you think wailing over everything is bewildering. If you're taking care of yourself and your family and you see your disposable income dwindle at a geometric rate, you won't be surprised at all |

jeff1607:Those are the two major things nobody is addressing...1. 95% of petrol stations have altered their pumps ,i did a personal random tests at eight filing stations with a calibrated jerry can,and what they sell per 2 liters is 1.5 litres . 2.The pump price we pay is for super quality petrol ,but we receive here in Nigeria is lowest quality.. Remember the case of the bad fuel, that no importer went to jail for? Compare the smell and colour of petrol when you were younger to the rubbish we use these days, more over thus rubbish can be refined locally with a modular refinery. 1 Like |

Parachoco: Sir we're not seeing any true litre kankan. Yes you have a fact about exporting already subsidized fuel out of the country but this drop in consumption is due to the fact people dont have enough money to eat again talkless of buying fuel. I now trek to work sir. I'll soon be paying more for light i won't get.... Should i keep counting |
