Good day house..... This thread has been very helpful to me, may God richly bless you all for all the info you guys have been dishing out for free.
My brother recently got an admission in a business school in Paris. Please I have some few questions to ask:
1:- The school said the registration fee is 550 euros. Is the registration fee not too high? Just registration fee oooooo

2) when he was filling the admission form, he choose self-dependant and that he is the one that will sponsor himself. But the issue is that there is no enough inflow and outflow of money in his account in the last six months, I don't even think he has done any transaction or more than 100k in the last 5 months.
So we are worried that lack of enough inflow and outflow of money in his account may be a stumbling block for him when he goes to campus France and Embassy. Presently we are thinking if he can use me as the person sponsoring him, because I have enough inflow and outflow of money in my account. But considering the fact that he has already filled self dependant and self sponsor while filling the admission form, won't it be problem if he later use me as his sponsor when he goes to embassy and campus France for interview?

Pls help oooo. I sent Naira equivalent to someone in Europe to help me pay my tuition fee. The person is now telling me that the school website is a scam and they are fraudsters.
I'm really confused because it was an agency that is helping me out.

ITALIAN VISA ALERT!

-Submitted my documents at TLS on the 19th of June.

-Documents received at the embassy on the 20th of June.

-Received a call from the embassy on the 22nd of June that my application will not be processed, because my travel date is still far(December), my passport will be returned to TLS the next week and I will get a refund; was asked to apply in September or October.

- Received a text message on July 3rd that my passport was ready for collection.

- Went for collection today and wasn’t surprised to find the visa in my passport , because I suspected they were going to process it when they didn’t return my passport last week like they said they would.

-Got 10 days entry with 30 days validity.

Let me share for someone who may need this.

I have asked question about this here but no one seem to give a good response. I decided to risk it.

I am a student in the uk, I have had a uk 6months visa previously which I used just one week out of.

I have a Canadian immigrant visa on my passport.

So I plan to visit the shenghen area for 8days vacation and my spouse was my sponsor. We both live in the uk with out kids and also both have individual businesses in Nigeria.

Two days to our biometric we realised we needed to submit a uk bank statement and we both had less than 500 pounds . So we 1500 pounds was moved to my account while 4100 pound was moved to my spouse account.

In addition to this bank statement we submitted our Nigerian bank statement which had over 10m , business account and registration our bro cards , insurance , hotel reservation and fully booked refundable flight ticket .letter from my school and the kids school as well as it is a family vacation. We have a family in Paris but we didn’t tell them about this. We were all issues multiple entry visa for three months.

So what I want to bring out here is .Our uk statement was somehow useless because we don’t do much transaction there (no salary) which means our Nigerian statement was what helped with the visa . We were mainly doing lodgement in the uk account

I really have no idea what is going on at the Italian consulate. it seems they're on a prolonged holiday or just can't be bothered. My application was made over a month ago and it's been crickets since then. I'm envious that my people got their passports back within a week of applying at the French consulate!

mine took like 10 days… maybe it would have been shorter if not for the 2 days public holidays last week.

My documents got to the embassy on the 20th of june, visa was issued on the 30th.

You don’t go to any embassy for questioning. You send in your applications through the VAC (Visa application center) which in this case is VFS Global. No visa interviews, just fill in the application form online, pay and book your appointment then go and collate your documents according to what is required and submit during your appointment.

The France consulate has a detailed website that explains the process of applying for a tourist visa step by step. Try googling “France tourist visa application for Nigeria” it’s one of the websites listed in results

If you have first used your visa to travel to Spain, you can fly directly to France this time.

Hey guys, I got a quick question

I have a Schengen visa issued by Spain

I visited Spain last week

Though I’m currently back

Now I want to visit France in a few days

Can I fly to France directly or I would have to travel through Spain first ?

Hi Guys!

I recently got a job in France and I'm applying for the French passeport talent visa. My host, the company will cover all cost (accommodation + cash on arrival + flight ticket + reimbursement of visa processing cost). I'm aware that I'm to provide travel document (passport), ID photograph, contract agreement from the host, and highest degree certificate as requested from the visa application site.

Do I need to ask my employer to book the flight before my appointment date in order to show travel itinerary?, and ask them for the paid 1-month accommodation?

Also, what other documents do I need? travel health insurance? if yes, can I apply for it online, make payment and printout a slip as evidence for the insurance?

Anyone with experience regarding passeport talent application?

I would be glad if someone could find time to provide me with some answers to my questions.

Hello

No I haven’t gotten a feedback yet.

I paid 4000 euros for tuition deposit.

For proof of fund you are to have a minimum of your tuition fee plus( 615euros X your number of months in france.)

In my case my required POF is abt 20,000 euros. Although i had more just in case.

Hello and Congrats!

I'm not familiar with the process but did a quick check here and saw these two users below - I'd say to go through their posts for tips and any guidance. For:

1. Health insurance - you can book online and print. There are a lot of companies (AXA mansard, AIICO etc.) offering this, so just pick one.

2. You don't need a confirmed flight ticket yet. An itinerary should suffice - you can book on hold with AF/KLM, or even from wakanow.com

For other questions,I'll just allow you to check the quoted users.

davide470:
Are you applying for a Passeport Talent Researcher?

- You will need a travel insurance till you register for Ameli (French healthcare). 3 months duration should be okay.
- Hotel/Hostel/Rental agreement is needed or your host can provide an Attestation d'hébergement (Accommodation Certificate)
- If you feel the need to attach a police report, go ahead.

abduloau:
This is an update regarding my long stay visa (Passeport Talent Researcher) application at the VFS centre in Lagos
I applied on the 23rd December, 2021 and my VISA was issued on the 5th of January, 2022.
Below are the documents I submitted:
1. International passport
2. Two copies of data page of my international passport (black and white). I saw so many people making coloured copies of the data page and I really don't know why.
3. Two copies of the online visa application form (blank and white). Try to avoid those agents beside the VFS building. They will mislead you just to make money. The guy convinced me to print the first and last page of the application form coloured (500 each). Upon entry, the lady that attended to make asked me to make a photocopy of the application form. I had an extra copy with me so I gave her the black and white copy.
4. The original copy of work contract agreement sent from France
5. My degree certificates; bachelors, MSc and PhD.
6. Covid-19 vaccination status
7. Axamansard travel insurance (Three months as advised here). I emailed VFS prior to buying the insurance policy as to the minimum duration required for the travel insurance. They responded that it is discretionary. I can buy any month I like.
8. Two coloured passport photo with a white background. I actually paid and took the picture at the VFS centre. I tried to avoid stories that passport does not meet the requirement.

What I did not submit
1. Travel history. One of the agents beside the VFS building told me to make coloured copies of my travel history but I refused because of the cost implications. Although I had black and white copies, the lady returned it back to me.
2. Flight reservation. The consulate called me twice. I missed the first call on the 2nd of January and they called back on the 5th to ask when I was travelling.
3. Police report.
4. Letter of introduction.
5. Hotel reservation.
6. Bank statement

My advise is to follow the instructions on the printed online application form for the documents required and try to avoid those agents beside the VFS building.
I wish you all the best of luck in your visa applications.

Thanks @Newbiein2016 for your response and those quotes. I have another question. I'm looking to schedule an early appointment within this month because my employer wants me to join immediately, and I see that most of the available dates in Abuja are in late August. Is there a way, I can schedule an early appointment? Any time of the day vfs release early dates?

Or is it possible for one to schedule a date, then reschedule to an earlier date? If so, is there a cost for the rescheduling and how much?

Unfortunately, my experience has been that one needs to keep searching to see if closer dates open up. Given the closeness of your start date, can your employer write directly to the office of the Consul General for this? This is the only other way to expedite the visa process.

They'll need to get a more direct email if possible as the one shared on these threads (visas.lagos-fslt@diplomatie.gouv.fr) might not reach the intended target.

If I rem correctly, one could reschedule a max of 1 time before you have to pay a new fee but this applies for future dates only i.e. you can't reschedule for an earlier date.
