You should have done this before applying. Notwithstanding, you need to provide more info on the annual cost of tuition.

Good day pls house what can I do have been refused visa twice for Sept intake for a diploma course on Early childhood and child care. Want to request for GCM notes but it takes 3months before getting a feedback from them. This is d letter from IRCC below . Any faster way to get a detail explanation for the refusal.. thanks
Well, gcms notes takes average of a month or less from those that have requested and received here. Since this is your second refusal, I advise you order it and wait for it to come. Make plans to defer your program to winter so you can properly tackle the issue. Get help with the sop.

Good evening to all in the group.

I need all your kind advice and guidance on this matter.like I said earlier on this group an agent is assisting for our application.
The main applicant which is my wife and two children has been asked to proceed with their medicals.
The three that were given approval for applied as students while as the spouse the agent did visiting visa instead of the Spousal Open Working Permit (SOWP)
Peradventure my visa is approved will I be able to convert the vising visa to SOWP when I get to Canada.Since my wife is an holder of a student study permit.
Please I need your input here the guru's in the group most especially the ones already in Canada.
Thanks in anticipation.

I believe you have been given many responses once before.

Again, you should apply for SOWP now. If peradventure your visitor visa is approved, you will still need to apply for SOWP if you intend to work.

Do you know your family could become PR holders even before your wife graduates if you hold a SOWP?

Bo positive brother. There's nothing wrong with your application yet, it is just 5 weeks and the processing time as indicated on their site is 6 weeks for this region. You may get all the updates on same day and even get your PPR before someone whose medical has been updated to pass already. So hang on! smiley

You will need to state the tuition and indicate if you are going alone or will have accompanying dependants with you. Are you self sponspored or not?

So assuming you are going alone and self sponsored. You will be required to demonstrate POF as stated hereunder;

Tuition for Program for 2 years = CAD X
Living Expense for 2 years = CAD 20,000
Miscellaneous + Transport = CAD 3,000

Total POF should be about CAD (23,000 + X)

As an international student, owing to the scarcity of student jobs in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge region, will Cambridge be a better option to finding student jobs? Maybe as a result of not having as many students compared to the other regions?

You may target by population of the city. Cities with population of 300k and more are good. Note that rent increases in proportion to the population of city. Also, do not overlook the small towns.

Perhaps you may want to redefine what you call "student job" and do things differently.

In my opinion, Kitchener has more population than Cambridge.

Tips:

1. You may target jobs like customer care rep., call center agent, PSW, HSW, DSW, production/manufacturing job (this is high energy intensive but pays well), sales rep. etc.

2. Remove your bachelor degree or HND from your CV, use High School Cert or 2 year post secondary diploma at maximum: else, they would say you are overqualified. Nobody is going to call you.

3. Have each CV tailored to each job role.

Your O'level certificate is what is referred to as High School Diploma

Submit both the original certificate and result. Some schools do request for scratch card.

If they need more they should contact you or contact them and ask them to explain better.

Thanks for your reply. Please, I am wondering if its only on mondays 8am that I can book?

The wait times are pretty long, so they only open it on Mondays, as at the last time they opened it, dates available were ending of July. You can also send an email to IOM, there is a possibility you can get an earlier date with them.

Access to Information and Privacy Act - Canadian law that governs the citizens access to information held by government institutions.

Your application I suspect was bounced because you did not fully explain the availability of your Fixed deposit. If you can explain how it works in your SOP or liquidate it to your account and explain the origins and why you liquidated it, then there is a solid chance that you will be granted visa. However, it will be good you request for your notes to know the specific issues. Request for CBSA GCMS notes, you will get it max 30 days after.

I believe the school you are applying to is in the best position to give you a definitive answer.

My opinion is that it is rare to find a school that won't use transcript for admission if at all such school exists.

Good morning house, please I need your guidance,a friend of mine just had her visa application due to finances(3 different sections), she is using an organization as her sponsor(their closing balance was about 40m) while what she needed for her first year expenses was CAD35,000(tuition+living expenses+miscellaneous). Now the sponsor’s are willing to release NGN15m, should she ask them to pay her 1st 2 semester fee of CAD12,000(her LOA has CAD21,000 as first year tuition fee {there are 3 semesters in a year}) and then transfer the balance into her account or should they just send the entire 15m to her account?

Ideally that's what it ought to be or rather how it has been done and ppl have been successful with it. Showing 1 or 2 years of pof and detailed strong evidences of assured continuous flow of income from sponsor. But these days due to unstable forex rate and all, ppl show full funds available for full duration to be on safe side.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Haychay(m): 7:40am On Jul 05, 2023
Guys please I need your advice on this one.

I mistakenly deposited into the CIBC GIC program instead of depositing into my student international pay for my tution fee. Now my school is on my neck regarding the payment of deposit tuition fee. I have also contacted CIBC GIC if they could transfer the funds to my school but they said I could only initiate a refund. Also the balance is not even up to 10k required by GIC, its 8k deposited. Honestly I don't know how I made this big mistake.

1. Is there a solution to this?
2. The money left for my POF is in a blocked account(Fixed deposit), so I don't have access to it now, instead I would have payed the tution from it.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Inikay: 8:23am On Jul 05, 2023

POF is 40M in fixed deposit and 3.2 M in personal acct. Me and my aon

How long is the program?
Also do you mean for you and son?
If that's the case then 3.2m will not be enough.
You need to move the 40m in your fixed deposit into your personal account.
