Goodmorning all, plz can someone with HND journalism, waec with non science subjects except biology transition into health by applying to a college in Canada to study courses like health support worker, health care assistant, practical nursing, or even pre-health programs with pathway to bachelor or diploma in nursing? HND bagged over 10years, waec over 15 years. Work experience in a pharmacy for 5 years dispensing drugs, handling minor treatments, can give IV too. Moreso, done some health courses online to improve himself. Is it possible for someone with this profile to get admitted in a college for a two years or one year diploma or even 3 years Bsc or PGD in a health related course in Canada? Age is 40. Kindly advice the exact way to go about this. Thanks to you all. |

Second application denied again.. Yesterday was the 6th week of my application yet eligibility was still not started, I had to send them a mail. After sending the mail, not up to 3 hours, I received a mail from them directing me to my portal, I rushed to it and saw correspondence and I opened it only to see that my study permit was denied. Tuition fee is 43,000, paid 4,000cad deposit and I had 72,000cad which is 22,500,000 as POF. 10m from investment and I attached every document for it, 7,500,000 gift deed from my uncle, I attached gift deed and the transfer slip and proof of relationship. 5m from sale of my land and I attached every document to substrate this... At this point, I do not know what exactly, VO is looking for to warrant him/her to deny me study permit. I did justice to my application Is it that the VO after seeing my mail, angrily decided to punish me 1 Like |

So sorry about your denial, kindly request for GCMS notes, but from the little I can deduce from this is that your ties to home is not strong, that is if you had to sell your land, investments and all just to come to Canada to school, how do you plan on making your ROI? Do you have other properties/business bringing you back to Nigeria? By selling off your stuff it kind off shows you don’t have plans to come back to Nigeria, why did the gift deed come from your uncle and not your parents?(not saying your uncle cannot support you o).What did you use as your ties to home? 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by zubizareta(m): 9:20am On Jul 05, 2023 |
Christyiji: First sorry for the refusal. How did you come about 22,500,000 to be 72,000cad even using the old rate. 7.5m is a very significant sum for your uncle to gift you. You might have to also add supporting documents to prove his source of income. What and what did you do to prove relationship with your uncle? The investment, what kind of investment is it? Are the funds easily accessible? How did you package and present your sop because trust me, that's key especially in cases where you are bringing in different sources of incomes and supports from 3rd parties. Lastly, if you are to resume September, best bet now is to just defer to next session, order your gcms notes before you refire again. Work on the sop very well. Unfortunately pof you will be requiring now has even almost doubled in value. Goodluck |

Eli7714: Which school is this? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Christyiji: 9:58am On Jul 05, 2023 |
zubizareta: Firstly, my uncle is an Engineer who is employed in a company he has worked for years and he also runs engineering consultancy services which I stated. I used the rate as at the date I put in my application which was at 345 as at May 20th. The investment has a maturity date of 3rd September and my bank gave me a letter to that effect aside from the investment certificate, I also included the investment bank statement. In proofing my relationship with my uncle, I included his birth certificate, my dad's death certificate, his place origin certificate and that of mine, our picture together with other family members, his picture with my late dad and their other two brothers, my picture with him. I don't think I can continue because the school can not refund you your fees if u apply for refund of fees later than 4th of October. What if I defer and same thing happen again, that means, I won't only lose the monies I have spent on this journey even the millions I paid the school. The school policy is a very selfish one and I can't dash them millions of Naira when I need the money more than them. |

Hello all, My brother got his visa approved and a PPR was initiated. He sent the passport to the VAC in Lagos via DHL and it has been delivered but he is yet to get a Email confirming the receipt of the passport. How long does it take for them to send an acknowledgement email? Any help from anyone here, please. Thanks. 1 Like |

Christyiji: Which school is that? I think you can get refund minus administrative fee when your present a fresh rejection letter. Do not be discouraged, in my case, after the first rejection, I only reapplied so that I can get a rejection letter to apply for refund because everybody I consulted said my case is impossible, although I added few documents that I didn't add before... Lo and behold, I was approved, I dedicated this approval to God, He made impossibility to be possible... So read their refund policy very well again, I don't think any school will not refund if you did not succeed in getting permit... More power to your elbow... 7 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Christyiji: 10:32am On Jul 05, 2023 |
Chechem: Their refund policy states that, the visa refusal letter should not be more than 6 months and for each intake, there are specific dates that if u apply for refund after that date, ur money won't be refunded. So, for Fall, 2023 intake, it is 4th of October. Any date beyond this, your money has gone forever. University of Windsor that's the school name. |

Oh dear .so sorry. Maybe you should further buttress funds from investment and your uncle gifting you that huge amount in exchange for what? Gift deeds are better received from parents or siblings. In my own case, I received 7m from my brother but I stated he has a good source of income monthly which I supported with his salary account statement , does other side businesses as he is an elect engr and that his wife has her own biz. I tried to make light of the huge funds he gifted me like it was no big deal coming from him as he was well established. I also added proof of relationship. Let me also add that I didn't have funds of my own but I have properties. So I got from my bro and mpower to argument. I am married but I got letter of support from my hubby written by me. I wrote sop and loe just to explain the lump sums in my account. Just order your notes and I wish you the best. Christyiji: 1 Like |

You should have done this before applying. Notwithstanding, you need to provide more info on the annual cost of tuition.
