Please, anyone here submit passport at UPS beside Lagos vfs on Friday (June 30) and have received mail of receipt from vfs here? Modified vfs don finally acknowledge receipt. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by pristinee: 4:50pm On Jul 05, 2023 |
Zeed13: You should have shared the date he submitted his passport, and not when he got PPR as that has nothing to do with submission. I submitted since 30th June, no mail from vfs yet |

Hello daisy, I just got my offer letter from fanshawe college for May 2024. Is it possible I get your email or phone number so that I can reach you on? Also my current job is customer service and my course is customer relationship marketing and sales management for 8 months. I hope I will be able to get a job and PR upon completion of this course. |

Hello peeps.... I'm considering an invitation for visit in Canada but I have few questions: How much would each ticket flight cost for a family of 3 (husband, wife and toddler)? What is the cost of biometrics for each person? What is the cost of medical examination for each person? What is the Cost of visa fee for each person? |

Christyiji:So sad to hear that your application was denied. In terms of home ties, how did you convince the VO? Are you married and/or have children? Selling your landed property may have caused the VO to doubt if you'd return home after your studies. As someone said earlier, it's not always about having lots of money but unfortunately these people think differently when assessing visa applications. Just my thoughts to consider before re-applying 3 Likes |

Please why do people with degree prefer to apply to colleges than universities |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by safex(m): 7:10pm On Jul 05, 2023 |
freshStarz:probably because the programs are shorter - 1-2 yrs. Besides, the education system here is different such that some college diploma are more valuable than university degrees |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by justmoveglobal: 7:12pm On Jul 05, 2023 |
It is so sad to get a visa denial after 2 attempts, you can either get a professional help or request for your GCMS note to know the reason for the visa denial. things you should work on during application 1. Home ties 2. Assets 3. Sufficient funds (if you can cover these three major things then you have every tendency to get approved) This 3 factors are important in study application Christyiji: 2 Likes |

freshStarz: Perhaps because they have recognized that: 1. Colleges do offer some of the things universities offer, e.g bachelor's degree, PGD, and what they want does not necessarily need one to attend a university. 2. Nigerian professors have brainwashed us that university is the best. We failed to recognize and acknowledge what colleges are the best at. 3. Colleges are far better when it comes to employability in terms of employment and professional courses in a very short time. What chance does BSc Psychology have where Diploma in Nursing is? What chance does BSc Chemistry stand where Certificate in Carpentry is? Can you say MSc Software Engineering is better than PostGrad Cert in Software Engineering? Example is University of Western Ontario is in collaboration with Fanshawe College to run their Nursing program even though they know that Fanshawe offers Diploma in Nursing which will lead to RPN. UWO offers B NSc. that leads to RN. UWO recognizes Fanshawe's mastery in that field and embraces it to at least foster their first two years. This is great wisdom. 2 Likes |

1. People who graduate with 2nd class lower, 3rd class and pass are not eligible to apply to University for masters except you have a supervisor that want to work with you. 2. Financial involvement, you can go to college for 1yr PGD/PGC and still apply for PGWP after your study, so the burden of 2yrs tuition fee in acct and 2yrs living expenses won't be there 3. Individual difference can still play out here freshStarz: |
