The question is, has God almighty STOPPED sending his special people or angels to provide help and counseling to mankind? if you believe that God almighty created the world and directs its affairs as we learned in the book of Daniel after the experience of the king of Babylon. Will that God abandon man and mankind to the vagaries of the world and those living in it? the other question is, are human beings alone in this world directing the affairs on their own or there are external powers involved in the process of selection of which human survived a war, gains high monetary rewarding activities, has great farm harvest years on years, company promotions year on year, decide on who become a country ruler wrt time and events.
