Would you be going on full scholarship?... an younacford to pay out of pocket? .. the work you are hoping to get ... can your earnings maintain you? ... and pay for schooling? If the answer to each is no then you are not yet ready financially for such an adventure. I'll advise you stay and do poultry rearing and revisit your plan when your bank account is loaded. I was going to just leave the thread, but a question popped up in my head, "wouldn't you advise your younger one if he was in this situation?".

So, I will talk to you straight from my gut.

First, I am happy that you are still young! The fact that you already bagged a bachelor's further brightens your chances.

Now, let's weigh your options:

1. Set up a poultry farm
- do you have experience managing birds?
- will you be living there or would you just hire somebody to guard it for you?
- market is available. But do you have the staying power (continued inflow of funds until the business becomes profitable?)
- finally, though the business can be lucrative, there are too many variables that you may not be able to cope with at your age and this material time.

2. Pursue a graduate education in Canada.
- do you have sufficient funds for this?
- what was your class of degree at the bachelor's level? Would it increase your chances of securing a scholarship?
- is the course you are considering in-demand in Canada and other 1st World nations?

Ask as many questions as possible and answer them truthfully. This will enable you to make the right decision.

However, if I had the said sum at 22, I would have relocated abroad for the following reasons:

1. I had no experience in any business per se.
2. My class of degree at bachelor's level was competitive.
3. My course of study is always in-demand
4. I am always hardworking, I would have successfully completed the programme.
5. I was very competitive and ready to struggle it out with the best, so I was sure to get a good paying job.
6. I had not much baggage (people depending on me for finances etc.). So, I was not going to be under too much pressure to start 'laying eggs for people to consume'.

In view of all the above, I urge you to think deeply, evaluate your capacity, capabilities, situation against the kind of life you envisage for yourself and your loved ones, on that premise make a decision and pursue it vigorously.

Meanwhile, please take out time to seek godly counsel and pray. In the end, life is spiritual. There is a place most suitable for the fulfillment of destiny. If Elon Musk or Arnold didn't move to the USA, they probably wouldn't have been as successful as they are today. Whereas if Aliko Dangote had moved to the UK, he probably wouldn't have been as successful too.

Bro if u get the opportunity to leave the run.. the best route to use na student study visa. The best decision I ever made was to leave Nigeria in 2019. For the United states. Fast-forward today I am already a permanent resident holder. Moral of the story make sure u get the right connection to help you and always stay focused..

My simple advice for you is as follows:

1) Pursue the Canada travel as this is the best time to go based on your stated age of 22. You get a lot of points for express entry if you are within the age bracket of 21 to 29, have a degree and work experience in Canada so now is the time to go.

2) Once you have full residency in Canada, if you like you can come back to invest in your Naija poultry business with all your Canadian dollars you may have saved for this goal.

I am doing something similar - based in the UK and running property business in Naija.

So with good planning, patience and timing you can achieve both goals.
