Today's market is one of its kind!! shocked

FBNH volume and value alone is up to or even more in some cases than the overall market value!

CONOIL, MRS, ETERNA...made the 1st five on +10% gainers Table!!
Quite a lot of stocks that appreciated in value!
54 gainers! Massive!

FBNH will go back to below 11.50 by June next year, and so will many others. I will remind you of this post. LOL.

Always good to give room for errors.

Some people expected United Capital to go back to N4 few years ago, but the stock no look back

If not for mismanagement, FBN should be selling for N70 by now ...

When GTB and Zenith were paying dividends of 50k, First Bank paid N1.20k.

If the new management of First Bank can get their mojo back, the bank will go places

Even though I doubt his prophecy, I think FBN of then is not the same with this.
There is no fundamental bases for the current run save for Otedola.

Wait and see what a dividend of N1.50k can do to the stock price of First Bank

By the way I said if not for mismanagement, First Bank would have been selling for N70 now

When GTB and Zenith paid dividends of 50k, First Bank paid N1.20k.

If First Bank had maintained the momentum and marker leadership, now that GTB and Zenith Bank are paying dividends of N3.00, First Bank would have been paying a dividend of about N6.50k.

Mismanagement of the bank led to value erosion

TRANSCOHOT 🏝️🏝️🏝️, a winning stock for holders.
Currently on steroid, defiled all known TA and FA but obeys SA.
#The FOMO is injecting daily steroid.
#The holders of TRANSCHOT are one of the most patient.
#The recent turn around by the management
#One of the few listed companies on NGX that is benefiting from currency unification.
#Expected Post COVID business boom that is driving the aviation and hospitality industry.
*""""β€œTRANSCOHOT price support is expected at N34 when more weak holders are expected to surrender their holdings to Heirs holdings. [They might just do the needful and buy out every minority holders for the purpose of increasing their position or delist]
TRANSCOHOT is πŸ†πŸ₯‡πŸ†πŸ₯‡πŸ† winner πŸ† and might be the best stock in 2023.
Returning 800+% for those self investors that sentimentally bought in March 2021.
A good example of capital market definition, where wealth is transferred from the impatient to the patient ones.

I wouldn't say I was smart for buying TRANSCOHOT in March 2021, sometimes It's luck and pure sentiment.
The daily volumes of TRANSCOHOT is usually traditional low and make it unattractive for TA, at the time the price declined from sub N7 to sub N4 between 2018 to 2020 and tasted 3 years low of sub N3.30 post COVID, the TA recommendations was sell, sell, sell, you never even have enough buyers and sellers coz it was unattractive in most self investors portfolio, but those of us that follow international sentiment and hold on to the believe and expectations that both the Aviation and hospitality industry would recover and benefit in post COVID, post pandemic economy keep the stock in our portfolio where it was static and almost dormant in terms of performance.
True to this sentiment, late 2022 to 2023 has been favourable to these most pandemically affected industries. NAHCO and TRANSCOHOT bought in March 2021, return humongous 725.22% and 800.11% respectively.
This performance would never have been possible in one's portfolio if one has been following the Buy, Hold, Sell button ( the intrinsic dictates of TA)
Moreover, no TA analyst/s in the capital market ever plotted the future retracting or the hyperbolic price curve of TRANSCOHOT and expected it to be where it's today.
I can confidently tell you, TA speaking, it has overperformed, book your price and sell off.
No way for those of us that are disciples of SA, it will soon reach band N35 before a price support can be created on a graph.
I did mention it, weeks back @N17 that holders should hold TRANSCOHOT tightly till it reaches N25, I'm saying it again, do not sell your holdings to Heirs Holdings till the sentiment and FOMO project the price to N35, then the latest financial performance would be available and hopefully the sentiment will be reviewed.
Only investors could have benefited from the price appreciations and hyperbolic shape of TRANSCOHOT, traders don't even attempt it, coz there is no one to offer them. Maybe short term investors would be asking a ❓⁉️⁉️ ❓"Why did I sell?" FOMO question ❓ is "Why didn't I buy since?
In equity market, a winner today can be a loser tomorrow and vice versa.
All self investors and traders are responsible for their investment decision and portfolio management. The key πŸ—οΈπŸ” point is objective, patient, need and time in the market (NOT TIMING THE MARKET)
Happy 😊😁😊😁😊😁😊😁 investing, Seize today and face tomorrow.

Well, I don't know how you came about most of the things you attributed to TA in your above post. As far as the right TA is concerned TRANSCOHOT stock appears on TA radar the moment it makes a new high in Oct 21.
-Then the stock went on to make a higher low on high volume in May 2022. TA wise, that is a BUY
-Even, if I missed May 22 opportunity, there was price rejection in Feb 23 on high volume. My dear, that is a BUY also.
-Since then price actions has been very bullish.

I partially agree with you, indicators would have shown overbought telling some TA to book profit, however, price actions since May has been nothing but telling TA it's not time to sell. How, you may want to ask? The price action is what is called MARUBOZU. When you have marubozu candlestick on high volume, it suggests that there is a strong buying pressure. You may book partial profits, but definitely not to close/sell your trade.

Understanding of what the chart says is critical in TA.
Happy Bullish Week!

* The cross dealer is still unknown, but yesterday's volume was so significant that it mustn't be hidden....
* Speculations have it that maybe one of the substantial shareholders is increasing his stake, or maybe he's consolidating his shares.......or maybe some power tussle competitions for control of the bank is ongoing behind curtains.......
* We'll know in coming days....

On FBNH's huge volume of cross deals and intra-day mkt trades, I've been informed that the name behind the deals is Sir Femi Otedola.
A total value of over N87.8B was put in the bank yesterday.

...Likely scenarios;

β€’ Current positioning may likely take his stake to within 10% or above and ensure broader board control.
On that backdrop, there's a possibility some select board members of FBNH appointed by the former CBN Gov, Mr Godwin Emefiele will be dissolved with names loyal to him brought in.

β€’ He's mopping up additional stakes to wade off competition from fellow BoD rep Billionaires, Oba Otudeko, The Odukale's of Leadway Ins... but particularly Sir MA the Conoil/Globacom chief.

β€’ He will likely take up the position of new BOD Chairman of FBN Holdco when all of this is over.

CAVEAT: NOT to be interpreted as any sought of recommendation. The need for due diligence should always take higher precedence ahead of this post.

Remember that when someone is increasing their stakes, someone else is reducing theirs. For every buy, there is someone selling, and if that someone is willing to sell loads of it, it doesn't necessarily mean that there is a commensurate increase in fundamental value.

I am no expert, but I would prefer a stock that is moving up with little volume. At least we know that the majority agrees that it holds value, and the few who sell want significant returns for giving up their position. cheesy grin

There is no need for room for errors. Like any prediction, it either happens or not; it is that simple.

Look at Zenithbank, for example. Despite paying regular dividends and showing consistent growth, it has made U-turns several times in the past, almost every year. It has hit 33 before then back to under 20. It has hit 25, 27, 28 at its peak, only to drop below or near 20. It is actually popular among banking stocks.

... that is why you need to add technical analysis (TA) to your repertoire of skill sets. grin grin

Some of these moneybags act on a whim. They don't reason at our level when moving their money. FBNH was selling below 12 for a very long time, up to one or two months ago. Only for the big investors to remember that FBNH existed at above 18. LOL

What I'm saying is that we can play it in the short term and make some money, but I won't keep my hard-earned cash in FBNH long-term at this price, no matter what PaEmma's fundamentals say. grin
