BAT appoints Taiwo Oyedele of PwC head of Fiscal policy, another good one. I hope he's Minister of Finance, far better than Zainab loans https://www.thecable.ng/just-in-tinubu-sets-up-committee-on-tax-reforms-names-taiwo-oyedele-chairman

Veecovee I no fit hide face completely this time but I go try to show face small small

The next support is @ 1.8. The move from 1.4 to about 1.7 may be smooth, as there was not much volume. From there, the probability of a reversal (rejection) starts to increase with every move up. Let's go! grin cheesy

TRANSCORP: Full bid @4.13!

UBA is sluggish. Maybe they're trying to hold it down till they accumulate finish anyway.
Though it's trying to fight back...

I pity those with investments in Oando. They are the major losers even when the brother to the owner (Wale Tinubu) is the president

You should not have bought Stanbic above N40 they said, it is at 60+ now, even after I have swallowed multiple dividends. Invest for the longterm, it is almost guaranteed you'll make money!

On FBNH's huge volume of cross deals and intra-day mkt trades, I've been informed that the name behind the deals is Sir Femi Otedola.
A total value of over N87.8B was put in the bank yesterday.

...Likely scenarios;

• Current positioning may likely take his stake to within 10% or above and ensure broader board control.
On that backdrop, there's a possibility some select board members of FBNH appointed by the former CBN Gov, Mr Godwin Emefiele will be dissolved with names loyal to him brought in.

• He's mopping up additional stakes to wade off competition from fellow BoD rep Billionaires, Oba Otudeko, The Odukale's of Leadway Ins... but particularly Sir MA the Conoil/Globacom chief.

• He will likely take up the position of new BOD Chairman of FBN Holdco when all of this is over.

CAVEAT: NOT to be interpreted as any sought of recommendation. The need for due diligence should always take higher precedence ahead of this post.

Selah

My source was probably misinformed. (on the actual identity)
It looks like it's one of the other billionaires... Sir Oba Otudeko.

Some of the likely scenarios stated in the post above may still play out but this time, in favor of Sir Oba Otudeko... though that would be on the assumption that current status quo is maintained. (no further change in shareholding structure from fresh positioning by other majority holders)

But then again, we may not have seen the last of "their power tussle".

https://businessday.ng/news/article/flush-with-honeywell-cash-otudeko-snaps-up-record-first-bank-shares/

Again, NOT to be inferred as any sought of recommendation.

One thing about penny stocks is that when they go rallying up, the temptation is hard to resist. However most of those who later key in after much time wasted in contemplation are likely to enter close to the moment of reversal.

In this season..
U re not lookin at 100 percent
10 percent plus is the minimum...

Deadlytruth:

It would be recalled that prior to Otedola's invasion of Transcorp shares, Tony Elumelu had at several instances invaded it but the resultant rally wouldn't last beyond two trading days before it would begin to drop again thus causing regrets among those caught in the trap and others like me blacklisting Transcorp as too slippery for SA pick. I recall one monicker here who always so got his fingers burnt in all those ephemeral Transcorp rallies tied to Elumelu that he renamed it TRANSCORPSE. If Otedola could hold Transcorp to a sustained rally which eventually didn't reverse, and also having once carried Forte Oil from N8 to N320, then his presence in FBNH now might just signal something big ahead.
Caveat: Just my S.A. backed imagination and not a recommendation. Thanks.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by yMcy56(f): 5:07pm On Jul 07, 2023
Mcy56:
Once the news is confirmed that it was Otedola that increased his stakes, then we'll see SA in action well well.
The first time he bought, we saw how investors reacted to the news.
We saw how he moved Transcorp from 1.35 to above 3......and TRANSCORP hasn't go back to 2 talkless of N1 since that time.
So, this b.o.t don unban me, if it won't ban me again... grin

Oh well!! Its Oba Otudeko again!
These people knows what they're enjoying in this bank, so they don't want to back down easily.

But this Oba get mind and money sha! Imagine him buying FIrst Bank@19/20! shocked
Definitely, they must have seen value there. About 2.5B spent today again.

Otedola needs to step up his game.

All well and good. Let the competition begins!
