Good evening Nairaland, I need your advice on this. I did another Ielts test and updated it on my profile then I transmitted but got a message that my profile is ineligible. What could be wrong? What do I do next? |

GraciousWords: Thank you so much. To clarify, I presume she’ll need to make the healthcare NOC her primary NOC. It doesn’t matter that she doesn’t have up to a year in that job since the criteria is just 6 months? She already has over 3 years experience in a different NOC |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Profgordons(m): 9:03pm On Jul 07, 2023 |
AyabaS:You are asking the obvious, she has the choice which NOC to choose but can only claim the much time she has spent in that NOC. Each NOC is independent of the other but only one can be targeted for the entry and best she chooses the one that puts the odd in her favour. Also remember that work experience is what determines the chosen NOC and not education |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by GraciousWords: 9:10pm On Jul 07, 2023 |
AyabaS: I believe the NOC has to be the primary one to be identified by category based draws but I may be wrong. I've been wondering this question myself and I'm not sure of the answer TBH. In one breath, they say minimum requirement is 6 months but on the other hand they say you have to have qualified for FSW, FST or CEC to be eligible and FSW requires 1 year continuous. So my conclusion is that if she has 6 months in a healthcare NOC which is her primary NOC and at least 1 year continuous in another then she may be fine.... I'm not 100% sure of this though since under normal circumstances the thinking was that the 1 yr continuous needed to be in the primary NOC. However, if she is already at 10 months on the healthcare NOC, then she can just wait 2 more months to be safer in that NOC as primary.

GraciousWords: This is exactly what I’m concerned about. She’s closer to 11 months so I’ll just tell her to use the NOC and take the ITA if it comes but not to submit the application till the 1 year mark. It’ll probably take that long to put the application together anyway. Thanks for your help. |

Hello all, Please i have something bothering me about my PR application I currently have a PR application I am looking to get married before the end of the year but then i am thinking, 1. Should get my PR, go to canada and come back to marry then wait for another 6months for my partner to get the visa to come join me in canada Or 2. Should I inform IRCC that i want to get married 2.1 if yes, when should i inform them (Before receiving my Passport request or After ??) 2.2 if i inform them, how soon would i need to get married after informing them? 2.3 what documents would i need to submit to add my partner to the PR application 2.4 How long do you think it would take for IRCC to process our visas? |

Tvickie:Try and avoid anything more than one stop. If you are changing flights in both amsterdam and paris you'll need a transit visa. In addition, consider buying a return ticket. |

Ruby99999:Anything can happen. I remember an immigration consulting telling someone I know to forget about express entry as her score was too low (she had a score of 481). Somehow there was a back-to-back-to-back draw sometime in march and she got an ITA. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by tshtsh: 1:41am On Jul 08, 2023 |
Realpaulpat:Name change is not a legal requirement. If express entry is what you both want I'll suggest you focus on the requirements of express entry and get through it. You can do the name change thing after you become a PR. In 2020 a couple declined their ITA because they were waiting for the wife's passport to be reissued following the name change. Covid came and draws were suspended. When draws resumed the canadian experience class was prioritized and their scores became uncompetitive 1 Like |

[quote author=tannystacey post=124273445] Why on earth are you leaving the responsibility of something so important to ab agent when you can do it on your own? Anyways, i hope you have all the access and credentials to your profile. If you are post ITA pls raise a web form to correct the mistake. @gr8femfred Do it yourself limited is a valuable skill that will make adjusting to life in the western world easier. Agents are interested in making money and even IRCC emphasizes on the need to only use the services of a licensed agent if you want to use a representative. Some agents will use your profile to get PR for other people who they can package as members of your family. There are some things that we should consider doing by ourselves. |

D9065ele: Its not as easy as picking an option for you. It depends on many more factors. I was in a similar situation as well but my fiancee & I applied separately as two single applicants. But this option is only viable if both parties have a profile that can independently qualify for express entry. Informing IRCC about your intention to get married won't change much as I am not sure they have a law that takes care of applicants with intention to get married. You can apply together as common law partners before marriage. Once you submit an application for permanent residence as a single applicant, you may need to consider waiting for the application to be processed before sponsoring your wife. You can add your partner along the way after you get married and get the marriage certificate but sometimes they don't respond till after your application is approved. And when that happens you'll need to wait for them to re-issue another COPR which takes time. In the case of my friend he waited 11 months but I guess covid made his own case lengthier. |

Some ECA organizations do not recognize degrees from Universities in the Republic of Benin, so research thoroughly and read the ECA organization’s websites before committing funds. If your University is not recognized, then your ECA is worthless for FSW[b] Please I need some clarifications on this WES ECA for HNAUB. I am the primary applicant and we are expecting ITA soon by God’s grace but my husband’s ECA was done by WES about 4 years ago which will expire next year. Do you think it will affect our application? His Bsc was evaluated before WES stopped accepting certificates from HNAUB. Thank you. |

gr8femfred:He’s actually right. Ircc regards things like this as minor mistakes and they usually would overlook it. Your data page is with them, so they would go with the age on that instead. They know we are humans and prone to error. It’s not misrepresentation |

Deedee05: Create a new profile again and please carefully review the requirements before creating the profile. For e.g., IRCC increased the minimum POF amount in April this year. Check that the POF amount is more than what is required 2 Likes |

Bullish99: You do not need the physical copy. In creating your EE profile, you already included the ECA Ref number. That’s all you need. In fact, when you receive ITA, IRCC will not ask you to upload your ECA report. What they ask for is to upload your degree certificate. What some people do though is to merge the degree certificate with the ECA report. |

D9065ele:This thing depends entirely on what stage you're on. Since you said you have an ongoing application I'll assume you've submitted everything and just awaiting a decision. 1. The ball is in your court, it's more expensive though having to fly back and forth, it might take more time and finally distance works negative wonders on ships. 2. Depends, at the current rate, applications are getting processed in 1 to 3 months. Will you be married before it's completed? When PPR is sent they'll ask you to update if there has been a change in your status, marital inclusive. If you're not married by then there's nothing to declare 2.2 Inform IRCC immediately after the wedding if you choose to get married, provided your application is still in progress. Even if it's concluded they'll withdraw the COPR and reopen your application to add your spouse as long as you haven't landed 2.3 there's a bunch of forms captured in the PPR mail alongside spouse passport, spouse medicals, police certificate, birth and marriage certificate 2.4 might take up to 6 month, might be less or more. Average time I've seen lately has been around that. It's faster if all fees are paid and sent with other documents via webform. Note that marriage proof to IRCC is the court issued marriage certificate. If you're serious about adding your partner, get that done and plan your ceremonies for later in the year so they can process for both of you together; less waiting that way. Imo its best done after you've passed medical biometric and before PPR |

Has anyone successfully used MyBankStatement to show PoF? I recently had to move my PoF and convert it to USD. Lodged it in my Zenith Dorm and I want to update IRCC today. I already got the normal Reference letter from Zenith yesterday and I'm thinking of generating MyBankStatement with my mobile app now. Who knows if this is acceptable?
